I wanted to believe Trippâs claims that it was a save, but his entire glove ends up inside the net. Still crazy impressive effort.

I would have called it a goal on the ice, but once it was called no goal it should have stood because you need irrefutable evidence and you can’t actually see where the puck is. There’s not enough evidence to overturn the original call. Definitely a goal but we were as usual treated to a different enforcement of the rules than many other teams would have gotten. Toronto, Boston, New York, and several others would have had the call stand on the exact same play.

Great effort by Koochie. If his entire glove didn’t slip in at the end it probably stands as no goal. Still a spectacular effort.

‘After further review, the call on the ice stands. We have no goal because holy hell that effort.’

Agreed that it was a goal under the current regulations, but it does seem fairer to me to deem the save completed at the time of the puck hitting the glove, which appeared to me to have happened outside of the goal line, and only when he fell over and his elbow had an unfortunate interaction with the ice did the glove go all the way in.
Not refuting it, just seems like a fairer rule somehow. If the save was made outside of the net it should be safe. Ah well still an amazing attempt.

From save of the year candidate to dang-it of the year candidate.

I couldnât believe they overturned the on ice call of no goal. I was watching on Bally and I know they said the situation room may have had better footage but I think it was a save as soon as it hit his glove. The puck donât lie though and thatâs why we got the W.

may not have counted as one, but holy hell what an almost-save

I feel like just a couple years ago this would have been a save. Where are those cameras that proved it was a goal? I only see a camera at the back of the net.

Damn it looked good until he started reaching over with his other hand. If he brought his glove out to his stomach instead it might have stayed out. Post kinda got in the way too
