Leaf fans who think they are championship calibre, better wake up to the reality that this team is basically a .500 team with great goal scoring potential, but suspect defence and shoddy goaltending. And to think they are not getting Joseph ( CALL ME ) WAHHLLLL for at least another month or more. What do they do then, ride what is basically a rookie into the ground right before the playoffs ? Leafs are destined to play either Boston or “ WE WANT FLORIDA “ in the first and second rounds. Their only hope is to go in as a wild card playing in the Metropolitan Division, at least there they have a shot. But ultimately, they would still have to get by either Boston or “ WE WANT FLORIDA “ and then possibly face Vegas. I am starting to feel sorry for Leaf fans. Their core three are seeing their talents and potential go to waste at age 27. Kane and Toews already had three Cups by 27 😮
Nylander, Matthews and Marner seem to care more about doing commercials for BET99 ( Matthews ), ROGERS 5G ( Nylander ) and Skip The Dishes ( Marner ) and accumulating $$$ than helping their team be better around them with quality defenders and goaltending.
Keefe isn't man enough to bench one of the big four players so he benches a 4th line player because he's not man enough to bench Marner.

Time for Keefe to go. This team needs a Sutter type coach.
Get Ready Guy Boucher. Don't resign Nylander or Mitch, and John Tavares only if he resigns 5 mil. or less. Spread the money on 7 hard working guys on the up and up. And bring in another defensive minded coach. Leafs will look a lot different.
I'd make a huge trade. Trade one or two of the top four. Get another top four guy with a winning record a goalie and a defenseman. I'd trade Tavares and Matthews, Maybe Riley.

Toronto's Problem is the way the Management is NOT Playing the Players in the Correct Positions.
You couldn't win a Table Top Hockey Game with the way Toronto Positions Their Players.
Every Player is Over Worked Each Shift because Keefe Trains them Incorrectly and He wont Stop doing the Same Mistakes.
If You Actually Know Ice Hockey, You Know to keep Your Defensemen on the Points and Shot from the Points.
Toronto wont do that since 1995 and that is why They can't see the Final 4 .
But They Will Sell Out the Arena even in Last Place for a Decade.
Explain Why They get the Money.
All I can See is the Management want to Hang with Them and Drink , Not You .

Brind'Amour sure has his team playing much better than earlier in the season.
Carolina dominates in the first two periods. Leafs make it close in scoring in the third. But it wasn't close. Carolina is a much better, balanced team
