OK so no top six point getters or no top d men point getters and still pulled out a win, that is what this team needed the depth guys to get on the score sheet
This team has played very well for the lineup they currently have. They still have some issues that remain.
I think Erik Karlsson needs to clean things up a bit. So too does Ryan Graves. Also, the first powerplay unit needs to be more aggressive. I don't like how they float around the perimeter. I wish that they would collapse down and get the puck to the net more.
The next team they need to beat to conquer some demons are the New Jersey Devils. I know the Caps are next, but if at some point they can conquer their demons like they have against the NYI and the canes that would make their rise in the standings that much more real.
Goaltending was not on my bingo card as strengths for Pens. Wonder hold long we should keep the duo together, they have a different style of goalie.
Defense has looked better. But Ryan Graves needs to go. He has been consistently horrible. Everyone else seems to be finding their game but it seems like he just doesn't belong.
I’ve definitely talked some sh!t about Harkins. At first I thought he was a total jag but he’s been stepping up to the challenge and making the most of his opportunity. Big Z should be taking notes
