Alexis Lafreniere had two assists for the Rangers (25-9-1), who were coming off a 4-3 loss at the Florida Panthers on Friday but are 6-2-0 in their past eight. Igor Shesterkin made 34 saves.
Nikita Kucherov scored for the Lightning (17-15-5), who have lost two in a row after winning three straight prior to the holiday break. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 16 saves.

I was there tonight and the intensity in that building was next level. The LGR and IGOR chants sounded like we were in NY. Igor and Bread were out of this world. REFS CLEARLY FROM TAMPA.
The much better defense play and great game by the Breadman but on the disallow goal, Mika did trip the guy so it should’ve been a penalty but no goal was correct great way to end the year. Hopefully this could be a great season. Happy new year to all the Ranger fans on the channel.

Rangers bounce back once again, incredible game. 6-0 now on the 2nd half of back-to-backs. We never let the game escape us, took the 2 goal lead right back once Tampa scored. Panarin is on a whole other level this year, and Laf is really beating those bust allegations. Igor gets his 5th straight win for his birthday as well. Great way to end 2023, see you in 2024. LGR!!!
