Two years ago, if you told me the Canucks would be atop the Pacific Division half way through the season, I’d have you checked into a mental health facility. Turns out, I would have been the crazy one for doubting Jim Rutherford and his right-hand man, Patrik Allvin.
In this video, I make my case as to why pro-scouting is the main reason for the Canuck’s turnaround. As always, if you enjoyed the video, please like and subscribe.

What should Chef Allvin cook up next? A top 4 defenseman? Top 6 winger? Another matchup center?
great analysis! keep it up
Good review, spot on with highlights of the top down upgrades. Winners with a proven track = cup record 😊. Cheers
Hey. An intelligent, thoughtful analysis. Being a Canuck fan from their inception (and throughout all the heart breaks) this current management system seems to be paying dividends. Mike Gillis and his team came close, but I like this quieter, more methodical approach. Kudos for your even tone of presentation. Keep going, friend! You've earned a new subscriber. 🙂
Allvin deserves GM of the year. Nobody else in the league comes close to what he's done this season.
The experience that Vancouvers coaching staff and management group is by far the best in the NHL
Also need to mention our coaching staff. Toccet has won cups and knows what to do. As well as defensive legends like Adam fotte sergie gonchar (probably butchard the names), forward legends like the sedin twins and arguable the best goalie coach in Ian Clark.
