Patrik Laine was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets, and looked to be a star for many years to come. However, his NHL career took a turn, and he was shipped off to Columbus in a trade. This was something that never sat right with many fans of the Winnipeg Jets, but I for one, am finally starting to find peace with it.

Im glad a grown ass man can finally overcome the insane hardship of his childish fanboy love got traded by a hokcey team.
"I WAS SICK TO MY STOMACH FOR DAYS"
R.I.P REAL MEN.
To be honest, he was a pretty lazy player. And it’s sad that the only good season that he has had was his second year in the league. He was asking too much money and he was giving too little.
The team looked SIGNIFICANTLY more cohesive even immediately following the trade, even while PLD was still in quarantine. It became less about feeding Laine and more about team play. I honestly thought PLD was pretty good in the time he was in Winnipeg as well, and we got a great haul for him in the trade with LAK.
Kind of Blake Wheeler's fault too for not giving up first line RW and now we don't have both players
Laine was a lazy POS. Anyone who knows hockey could see that.
He could score goals from one spot, thats it. He was slow and put in little effort otherwise.
I would like to remind everybody, that it was Laine's agent who advised Cheveldayoff that Laine would not be signing another contract with the Jets. So it doesn't matter what you think about the Laine for Dubois trade. The Jets hands were tied. Also, the first round pick Chaz Lucius has not jumped to the NHL, so the trade isn't yet done for Laine quite just yet.
I came to peace with it as soon as he asked for a trade. And I was right.
