As someone who grew up as a Canucks fan I never thought I would be so happy to see Boston score in Vancouver.
As an old goalie myself, I have always hated the butterfly and the taking away the lower half of the net by laying your stick along the ice. It warms my heart to no end to see a bunch of goals all around the league being scored top shelf. The butterfly and the paddle are both dead. Lets see some real goaltending now.

Mike Ribeiro is who you're thinking of. He did the same thing against the Avalanche.
That save by the Knights tender is reminiscent of some of the crazy things I got to watch Tim Thomas do as a Bruins fan. And believe me, that's hgh praise.

Didn't even realize the score on Ullmark's goal. Wish he'd allowed one afterward to be the first(?) Tendy to ever net a GWG.
I love Brossoit (he was a better backup than the Jets' current "All-Star" backup goalie), but def not save of the year. It was a desperation move with a LOT of luck. Had they won the game, it might've been more impactful. Well done either way.
Bridgeport's move reminds me of Tomas Hertl against the rangers in 2013. his fourth of the game, moves in on a breakaway, same move, just embarrasses Martin Biron.
I've always watched mcdavid and thought, shoot the puck more, he's so good he created these amazing assists, but he's in a good shooting area many times and I think he doesn't want to be a hun, when you are that good and skate into prime area, shoot the puck, his shot is one of the best in the league, I think he scores 60/70 if he lets it go more often. 🇺🇸🏒🇨🇦
That left arm save was one of the best saves ever.

So I'm pretty sure I saw a Team GB defenseman make that penalty shot in the world championships (division 1A, something like that). I think it was Ben O'Connor.
Either way I doubt that's the one Steve is on about but you never know.
