I think the issue is more along the lines of the goalie coach combined with defensive zone breakdowns. It's a coaching issue not necessarily a player issue.
They've both been terrible plain and simple and every bad goal has been sapping the team's confidence, making them play poorly for the next 5 or 10 minutes. They are both in the bottom 5 in the league in GSAX this season (according to evolving hockey) and two of the goalies worse than them, Raanta and Samsonov, have cleared waivers. So Ottawa is currently picking between 2 of the 3 worst goalies still in the NHL this season. The senators have absolutely been allowing too many high danger chances against, but Ottawa goalies have allowed 15 more goals than expected this season. They probably win a couple more games, force overtime in a couple more and are still in the thick of the playoff race if they get league average goaltending.

Team is a turnover machine in the D zone. Never seen a team so weak on puck battles.
Trade one of the two goalies and give sogaard a chance to shine.
