Charlie Lindgren is the future. Shep needs more practice and ought to stay in Hershey. Send Kuemper packing and bring Clay Stevenson in as a backup.

  2. bleached_n_tiedyed

Send Phillips down and cut Jensen loose.

Very winnable game. Sucks to give it away like that.

Patches was non-existent, but it was his first game back.

I am once again asking Jensen to sit. He is straight garbage this year.

Imagine the game if we went into the second intermission tied, without giving up the charmin ultra soft goal

Old guys on a back to back vs. young guys with a four day break

Going to get out skated every time.

Well, that was a game. It is what is is for Shep, he’s still 2-1-1 on the season, and if I remember right, he stole us a point in his OTL.

Man, I don’t know with Jensen. I like him and think he can be very good, but something just isn’t clicking for him this season.

  7. Struggling to understand how Jensen consistently finds his way into the lineup. Not too surprising regarding Shepard considering he’s organizational depth at best

As much as people want to blame Shepard for the loss… it was quite the collaborative effort tbh. Play one decent period of hockey, then check out. The talent is there, just no quality consistency

I guess this is what happens when your best goalie is out and you’re up against a pretty good offensive team. Hoping they put TvR back on the right and sit Jensen at least for a bit.

  10. #Shepard the sheep, had a great many leaks. Even Kuzy, the bird, could not save this herd. This has been poetry with drunk Chris. Heads up bois. Let’s get em next time

We just need to realize that although kuemper isn’t the best there is no reason to go off and trade him the kuemper/Lindgren combination is fine and look what happens when one of them gets injured

Trade deadline is in 2 months. If this GM has half a brain cell, he’ll send nick Jensen away for a deck of Pokemon Cards. I’ve had it with this guy

We played like we were scared that entire game, can’t count how many times we handed them the puck, and God Fucking Bless with Shepard looking like a sheep in that net. This was so winnable and it’s incredibly frustrating to see us spiral out of the second period for no reason. The Devils were on our asses EVERY time we had the puck but we gave them all the space in the world when they had it. Defense was non-existent, tired of Jensen.

On the plus side, McMichael looked really good out there, gorgeous goal and some really good spots for more. Carly’s goal was a stunner too, and Kuzy coming alive after his was great to see, but we need more of that fire consistently. Tired of seeing us skate with our tail between our legs expecting not to lose.

We need the finesse and confidence we showed so well in the first period against the Pens last night, it was absolutely perfect. That kind of skating needs to be the standard, not the anomaly, and we’ve shown we can do it.

We need a goalie. Awful that we got scammed for Kuemper and Lindgren is injured. Shepherd seems to have the permanent yips.

Shep = poor, but he’s new. Gets a pass, for now.

Phillips = not ready for NHL. Send him back to Hershey.

Ovi = Slow. Can’t back check for shit

Patch = invisible until it comes to tripping. First game back; gets a pass, for now

Jens = idk why he’s still on the team. He sucks and then absolutely snipes a top shelfer once every 16 games

Dowd = he should’ve scoredddd that

    Milano = wya king

I think the only thing this game has shown is that Shepard is an NHL backup at best and holy hell Jensen was god awful tonight.

Reposting what I said in the game thread:

As I’m leaving the game, I’d just like to say. If Jensen and Phillips play next game, I’m losing faith in carberry. I give him the benefit of the doubt a lot, but I’m through with the Phillips experiment and the Jensen contract
