As a caps fan I don’t think the rangers deserved to finned I also think that Tom Wilson should be suspended, but Buchnevich definitely deserved his suspension. And I think the difference between chara’s hit and his is that he lunged at mantha which showed that he wanted to injure him. I think that honestly no one would have a problem with that being a suspension without the Tom Wilson hit.

1.from the beginning buch fell in the crease and Wilson responded with a punch to the shoulder blade. Everyone is saying the head and from every angle I’ve seen it’s the shoulder

3. Buchs cross check to Anthony manthas face was worse than anything Wilson did

The NHL has made Roger Goodell's "NFL Wheel of Discipline" look consistent by comparison.
What the fuck is with this bullshit? A thug on Washington body slams a non-fighter skills player on the Rangers and the league does nothing about it. But when a Ranger gives a Capital a cross check, which is a penalty that occurred within the context of a game, he gets suspended? This is ridiculous. It’s no wonder nobody gives a shit about hockey with crap like that. For hockey to succeed, it does not help for the league to show a bias against a city market team like the Rangers.

The real trick with these plays is knowing how far you can go, and how far is too much. Buchnevich should have known, especially when the referees where under pressure to maintain control of the game. It was the Rangers indeed who where virtue signaling about how the refs needed to be more strict.
Buchnevich let himself be provoked into becoming the "example".
I'm sure the message was sent loud and clear in both locker rooms pregame.
So his suspension was a result of his particular sense of entitlement.
And for the Rangers or their fans to complain about it now is more hypocritical than the league they are complaining about.
Stop crying! Rangers deserves exactly what they got! Grow up!
