One of the few times I’m agreeing with McIntyre. The whole article is on point about this entire shitshow and I feel has very little Jets bias.

Good balanced summary. I’m so glad he called out Mayers and Cosentino for basically saying it’s fine to go out and deliberately try to injure somebody for revenge and apparently it was only bad because they did it to young Perfetti instead of Ehlers or Scheifele…. that’s some barbaric crap that has no place in today’s game and I’m still sort of stunned by it.

Watched the SN clip and yeah, Jennifer Botterill had exactly the right perspective. The other 2 knuckleheads think it’s good to send a message, but do you do that with dirty, dangerous hacks to the face to the most vulnerable players? Or do you drop gloves or play tougher *within the rules*? Cheap and dirty are the correct words for that high-stick infraction and there’s no place for it. There’s still gotta be some honor and civility, even if it’s a passionate and tough game.

If anybody’s got time and wants to waste it a bit could you make a damn compilation of little cross checks that happen all the damn time and send it to the wild
