Maybe Corey Perry doesn't like one of the sponsors of the Blackhawks. Maybe he told representatives of the sponsor company exactly what he thought of them. This seems logical, but it doesn't seem to me to explain why Kyle Davidson was so upset about the situation. I also don't see a sponsor abandoning the team because of the opinion of a hockey player.

PUH-LEEEEASE > TONS of NHL players, team execs, well-connected media personalities and in-the-know reporters ALL KNOW what really happened here, BUT fear of major defamation LAWSUITS is keeping their mouths firmly shut UNTIL either one or both sides involved publicly first disclose the specific details!!! Yup, Perry has 60 days to file a grievance appeal thru the NHLPA, BUT he'll also then need to PUBLICLY DISCLOSE the actual details > which ain't gonna happen if they were serious enough to warrant his immediate contract termination AND no other NHL claimed him off waivers! AND although you'll never admit it, YOU yourself have likely heard ALOT more details through reliable sources than you're also willing to share for the exact same reasons!:)

So it was a corporate event. My guess is an owner of the team of some sort was there and Perry got all hammed up, told an owner how shit the team is to an extent and things got heated. They could easy pay out his contract and call it a day….nothing to see here

Most likely explanation is a workplace harassment case, which would explain why they have not shared the details. Not super interesting (sorry Internet), but easy to see why the Hawks would have a zero tolerance policy about that in 2023.
