He won’t hear the praise like other players, but Lars Eller’s very real.

so many bruins nightmares I didn't believe it was over even with only 4.2s left and a d-zone faceoff
The Friday Insider I reference in this episode is below – Dejan

Latang got 3 points but also got schooled by Marchand. Both he and Karlsson have been playing very unevenly this season…not the best D by far.
I railed about folks blaming Jarry for the Caps loss instead of the Pens' lack of attitude and urgency. Today, I'm reading comments about how Ned was too soft and almost cost them the game. Can we – for once – hold the team responsible for how it plays in its own zone instead of pinning everything on the goalies?
Doc and eller have some good chemistry. Pusti looks good on that wong as well. He went to all the right areas even though he didn't make it on the score sheet. Itll be interesting if jesse P. Makes the team and you could have a monster line of doc-eller-J.P.
Carter's net front presence provided a goal, need more (not just from Carter) #LetsGoPens!
Nice to see they found a way not to blow yet another 5-2 lead to the Bruins. Sid the difference, as once they tied it up it looked like momentum was going to give the Bruins the win.
Hate to say this, all respect for everything 66 did for this team and city, but he sold the team. If he wanted to do things differently, he should have never cashed out. I know it’s a harsh thing to say, especially from not knowing 66 at all, but the money was more important to him than his idea of the franchise.
i saw him chase down the puck and make a great feed in the offensive zone 3 times in like 8 seconds
I noticed at least 3 of the 4 lines showed up to play and contribute to the effort. 6 goals but Geno completely held of the scoresheet last night and with a team worst -2 for him and that line. Does it not amaze people that even with 14 goals (11 at even strength), that Geno finds a way to be a minus -2 on the season so far? If you look at all the players on the team who are minuses, Malkin's 14 goals with a -2 really stands out. You kind of expect the bottom 6 players with no goals and little offensive contribution to be in the minus territory but not your second line center. Of course Smith is there too at -1 with only 7 even strength goals, but whose making who the worse player? Geno was a -12 last season too, the only worse forward on the team was Carter. But of course it was his wingers fault then too, even though they helped him to a point per game average.
The Geno apologist thing to do would be to blame it all on Smith, or whoever else gets to play left wing on that line, but why when it comes to Malkin, do people expect those guys to make him better, and not the other way around? Why is everyone there to help get the most out of the obviously handcuffed center Geno? And this isn't really about offense. This is how much of a detriment that line is to the teams collective defensive effort and therefore, helping win games. This team is one of the best one's in the league defensively (excluding last night's aberration). Can you imagine how much better they'd be with a 2nd line that actually made them better? Maybe if Geno's line finishes with just an even last night, the outcome wouldn't have been so undecided late in the game.
Sort the stats by all the better plus/minus players on the team and you'll see all the usual suspects at the top and even some surprises up there like Karlsson (+13) and even the increasingly despised Graves (+10). What I'm getting at is there's no reason a player of Malkin's supposed HOF caliber should be a +/- bottom feeder with all the bottom 6 fodder, regardless of who's fortunate or unfortunate enough to be stuck on his wings. He needs to start elevating his line's play and dragging them along with him if they are unwilling to help carry the load. It's time for Geno to be like Sid more often on a consistent basis, not just the every other week couple of goals in a game.
Sorry but It's things like this and all the other negative detractions associated with his play that earns him all the voting/rating snubs and top 100 player exclusions that on the surface he probably doesn't deserve, but when you really think about it and add it all up, he just might. And before people come out against me as a Geno hater, I have two Penguins jerseys in my closet, A Lemieux, and a Malkin (right next to the classic I'm Score shirt). I was his biggest supporter in his early years and was a bigger fan of him than even Crosby. Problem is, I haven't see than player for more than a rare passing occasion for many years now.
I commented on one of your videos a little while back and said he finally is bringing a solidified 3C for the first time since Bonino. He's playing great right now 👏🏻
Be prepared for another disappointing season from the Bruins.
Watched that game.
Lack of intensity and physical presence.
Don't care how many wins they have. Per usual there's something missing and it will be exposed during playoffs.
