No timetable sounds so much scarier than “long ways away” to me
Dougie had two surgeries. Foot and the torn pec. He’s not back until playoffs at best.
We literally can’t catch a break this year
Well that’s close to $25m on LTIR, how can we go all Tampa Bay on this situation to take advantage?
Our big $ FA signings keep getting hurt, damn it
Gotta imagine dougie is out for the season. Maybe we get him for playoffs, maybe.
I can’t figure out the NHL’s reporting standards on injuries. Few injuries are ever more specific than “lower/upper body”. Is that a stubbed toe? A concussion? A rib contusion? And the timelines, with the ability to put players on IR retroactive to any date, is also wild. I’m sure it’s an NHLPA thing for maybe player privacy or whatever, it’s just so foreign to me. Compare that to the NFL where you know exactly what happened with a legitimate timetable for returning. Why is that not the case with the NHL? Anyone have any thoughts?
I also saw a tweet that said Ruff believes Palat should miss only a few games so…maybe more optimism on that?
Where is Foote!
