Just wanted to take a minute to honor my favorite Devil

I was a fan of the team when I was a little kid in the 80’s and early 90’s, my dad used to take me to games. Back then my favorite player was Bruce Driver. Like the colossal sports loser that I am I stopped watching the Devils, and the NHL, after the Matteau goal and missed out on 3 cups. In the meantime I was rooting for the Mets, Jets, and Knicks- trust me, I know..

Got back into the Devils big time during the Rags series last year and now I’m completely hooked. Never miss a game and love our guys, but this guy right here stuck out to me from the jump. His motor never stops and every line he’s on I feel has constant energy. He’s what I love about hockey. From what I understand he was a high prospect and thus far his career has been a disappointment, but as long as I’ve been a Devils fan (again) Mikey has epitomized the brand of hockey I love watching

Anyway, great community here. Love the team, the fans and the Rock and I’m so glad to be back. Let’s go Devils!
