Ah, the modern NHL. Little guy skating around like it’s the ice capades gets dropped with a legal hit, teammate immediately starts a fight, and YouTubers all cry. Bedard should have been hit like this about 50 times already. The sport is a bunch of crybabies now.

That was a gentle bump compared to what Tom Wilson would have done . Players should not be expected to step aside for Bedard because he is the current poster boy for NHL and Blackhawks .

I said exactly the same thing about the hit, almost word for word. As a Devils fan, I'm fine with Foligno's response. And I'm proud of Brendan for answering the bell. The game went off the rails a bit with the other hits and fights but by the 3rd mostly calmed down. I know people will be angry about the hit because it's Bedard and hopefully he's fine but we've seen bigger clean hits from guys like TJ Oshie and of course Trouba. So Brendan shouldn't be made into a criminal here.
Also, Holtz, Nemo, and Mikey are really hard working guys I'm glad to see them making great plays and scoring goals
Regarding the Smith Bedard hit, that’s what happens when an 18 year old kid runs into a full grown man. Clean hit, hope Conner is ok.

It's hockey..that's a totally clean hit..nothing to talk about.
The whole Blackhawks team was out for blood the whole game after a clean hit. I hope Bedard is okay but it’s a lesson he needs to learn. I’d love to get your opinion on the hit on Nico from that game if we’re talking about dirty hits.
Hit was clean, result sucked.
There s more than enough tape out there showing Bedard's play style. Any good D would have prepped for him and stacking the D makes total sense if your goal is to stop his zone penetration or limithis east west option.
Him leaving goes back to my major concern about Bedard, young and smaller stature. Well my second concern was being in Chicago without a team to support him and give him the time too mature as a player.
Hopefully they were just being overly cautious and it was just an awkward fall. I would hate seeing health or durability issues to hinder Bedard's career.
It was bound to happen. So hopefully Beddard learns his lesson and keeps his head up.
