You absolutely hate to see this

Since coming into the league, Connor Bedard has undoubtably impressed. He’s shown us why he was the number one pick, why he’s a generational talent. It took some time to break in, but the kid is the real deal. But at 18, he’s still jus that. A kid. He’s certainly on the smaller side and there has been an undertone of worry that its just a matter of time before he takes a hit that really leaves him shaken up and tonight, in what was a chippy game between the Devils and Blackhawks, that’s exactly what happened. Connor Bedard took a hit from Smith and immediately went off the ice holding his jaw. The game went into absolute chaos from there on out as you may expect in what was a fun one. Notably, Jack Hughes ALSO went down the tunnel with an apparent injury late in the game as you really hate to see two of the leagues brightest young stars injured in the same game. I cover it all in todays NHL hockey video!

  1. Not dirty at all. End of discussion. Like any other player, Bedard isn’t untouchable. He’s going to get laid out if he leaves himself open to a clean hit.

  2. Lols he skated into him and got popped in the mouth. Have all hockey content creators gone softer than baby shit on a hot summer day? A boy playing with GROWN MEN

  3. As a die hard Devs fan, last nights game was rough. Couldn't believe we saw so much aggression and fighting. To be completely fair I was ready to judge the fuck out of Smith until I realized that Bedard just skated right into a wall 😂

  4. That’s not a clean hit. Because it was barely a hit.
Bedard skated into him, Smith just saw the inevitable contact and braced himself prior to contact, while Bedard didn’t see him and ran into a wall.

No bias btw. Go Avs! Go Lightning!

  5. What a stupid video. You 'hate' to see a Hit in Hockey? Keep your head up Bedard, just like any other player should.

  6. It’s a good hit but both the people that are saying it was dirty and the people saying that Bedard deserved it all suck

  7. Lost a lot of respect for Bedard seeing him go down the tunnel because his face hurt. You have to be tougher than that to play in this league. People are going to start running him every game now that they see how weak he is.

  8. I’m Anti-Bedard and I’ve been saying this….he ain’t going to make it in the NHL. It’s going to get worse for him.

  9. Bedard put himself in a bad position and got cleaned up. Simple as that. If his mouth wasnt hanging open like he just saw taylor swifts titties his jaw wouldnt be hurt

  10. IDC if ppl disagree, but Foglino makes current NHL hockey look ridiculous since his fight against Corey Perry, waiting later to fight a guy. Bad for Bedard but relatively clean hit. Then we are all complaning that there's no legal checking along the boards during gameplay when it would be useful to do it to steal the puck or avoid a scoring chance.

  11. It’s still a contact sport ? Just let my team win a cup so I could stop watching these ballerina’s pretending they are hockey players

  12. This title is whats wrong with sports. Why would I hate to see this? Hockey is a contact sport and is best part of it. We need more physicality. So what if its on bedard

  13. Based on his demeanor and appreciation for all aspects of this game, I feel Connor will say it was on him. A learning experience for how to better navigate the middle and a test of how strong his jaw is. This won't be the only time he's tested in his career. So, as long as the injury can be overcome, I believe Connor states he will be a stronger player as a result. Go Hawks!

  14. Das ist Eishockey…Was soll das,Connor hat keinen Welpenstatus!!! Geh weinen oder spiel NHL. Ich denke er sieht das auch so…💚

  15. Next Man Up might hate to see this. I like hard hitting hockey so I love to see this. Smitty plays hard. THe instigator rule is killing the NHL. Why do you think Gtetzky had Semenko?

  16. Hate to see the injuries but love to see the intensity. Reminds me of 90's hockey when rivalries between Colorado and Detroit and Philadelphia and New Jersey were gritty physical games.

  17. Glad my son got out of hockey at a young age before hitting became a factor…..many parents feel the same way.
