    I think it’s time to say that the Avs’ defense is highly overrated. It’s top heavy with too many puck moving defensemen and not enough gritty bruisers. Think they would benefit from getting a defensemen like Gudas or Cernak. Someone that teams would actually be afraid to drive the net against.

    As a Winnipeg Jets fan living in Colorado I REALLY wanted to be at this game. I know I would probably never get the opportunity, but I would love to shake Paul Maurice's hand and tell him Thank you for beating Edmonton in the playoffs after I had waited FORTY YEARS to see it happen. I think that until the Jets win a Stanley Cup that Paul Maurice has to go down as the best Coach in Jets 1.0 or 2.0 history for that reason alone. I really would like to have told him that. Well, maybe some day.

    We see Georgiev on top of the league in the stupid (North American) "Wins" statistic, yet we all know that the goaltending in Colorado is mediocre and that none of their goalies have stolen a single win this season. I am aware that it was not him in the net in this game, it's just to illustrate the point. And on defence we have a couple of softies too. Really need at least one more decent D, and a star goalie. The latter is much easier said than done. The choice now is to develop the ones you have to be at least 25% better than they have been. So it's on the goalie coach and on the head coach to lift these guys up.

    On a separate note, I am surprised how quickly NHL puts out these highlight videos. Literally, for me, NHL is right now is the most interesting and top sport in North America. 100x more fun than NBA in every single possible category, and more fun than NFL with all their end-of-season meaningless games.
