Mark my words, after recording and obsessively watching every game despite my wife’s approval, this kid is the real deal and will be mentioned for the rest of time as one of the greatest players to ever play the game. He does it all. 10 games in and his hilite Reel is better than most 10 year veterans. The only part of his game that needs work is getting skewered then pinwheel headslammed onto the ice.It’s a great time to be a hockey fan.pretty sure Matheson is gonna have to drop the gloves in like 3 months when the panthers come to town.
The Swedish Hockey League is no joke. Sweden is the top exporter of players to NHL in the world outside North America. And look at how many that becomes established players and superstars. They do things right over there growing, developing and preparing them.
Pettersson will be injured again before the end of the season; he can't handle a clean hard hit. Short career. And comparisons with Gretzky are ridiculous; Gretzky controlled play when he was on the ice; this kid has a long way to go to get there; and he won't make it due to injuries.
The hype surrounding this guy is ridiculous; he's not even playing at the moment; he's out injured; again. He's no Gretzky; you could at least wait a few seasons, if he lasts that long.

Pettersson should've been 1st overall in 2017 draft and should've gotten as same hype as Matthews and McDavid. He will be that good. Canucks so Lucky.
