Can I get some love for Calle Järnkrok? At the 37 game mark he’s got 10 goals and 9 assists for 19 points, that’s on pace for 22 and 20 for 42, all three of which would be a career high, (though not a G/GP, A/GP, or P/GP career high) and he’s 32 years old. He’s doing it mostly at even strength too, the guy has more shorthanded points than power play points. His most common linemates are Domi and Robertson too, he’s not a product of the big four. I’m thrilled to see this from a guy making just 2.1 a year. If you’re going to hand out the big money to the big players, depth performances from guys like Calle Ironhook are exactly what you need.

I thought Knies had a beaut of a game. He’s playing big.

Cherry on top was that move in the third when he juked the d-man and went in 2 on 1 with Marner, switched up his footing to go side-step then fore-step again to get the sauce over. Very nice – too bad it was just a half-sec late and made a bad angle to finish.

    Ski-U-Mah #23 !!

They need to cap this Cali-theme on Tuesday with another 2 points vs SJS.

Look at the rest of the month – Yikes !

NYI, then Avs, then Wings on back-to back nights. Do we see Hildebeast for the first time?

A western swing of Edm-Cal-Van-Sea, then a home & home (starting here – wtf?) to finish off the month with the Jets.

Calgary is at .500, all others above.

Beginning Tuesday, that’s 10 games in 19 nights. Where they sit at the end of this month is going to tell us everything about this team.
