Have the team go out for a nice dinner. Smoke a cigar while sipping on a nice scotch. Might just work.
A little shocked by this call up, as Ryker isn’t exactly the most defensively consistent defender. But the team needs an offensive push as well. Though that push seems like it needs to be more about getting to the freaking net and sticking there than the play from the backend. Maybe Ryker can do a better job getting the puck to the net but I’m still not sure who will be there to do the necessary net front things to make that useful.
Perhaps part of the Kraken's lethargy is coming from Hakstol, one of the most stoick coaches I've ever seen. Does he ever get happy? Does he ever get mad? Does he ever kick a garbage can across the locker room? Personally, I enjoyed playing with coaches who jumpted up and down when a good goal was scored and who started throwing sticks when we weren't playing up to our ability. The team looks completely depressed. How close is Hak to losing his job?
