THIS IS THE BEST WAIVER CLAIM THE HABS HAVE EVER MADE: A SERIOUS TALK ABOUT THE MONTREAL CANADIENS

THIS IS THE BEST WAIVER CLAIM THE HABS HAVE EVER MADE: A SERIOUS TALK ABOUT THE MONTREAL CANADIENS

Last night e that was a pretty good game the Montreal Canadians after losing to the Buffalo sabes ended up defeating the best team in the entire NHL the New York Rangers in a shootout and part of the reason they were able to get to the shootout in the

First place and part of the reason they won was because of of the best waiver claim the Montreal Canadians have had in a very long time this is a serious talk about Samuel monmo because oh my goodness I think now now yeah it’s time to talk about monbo dude this is a guy

That I feel like with all the discourse surrounding him and his initial acquisition by the Montreal Canadians after seeing all the rumors after seeing the trade idea as seeing everybody toss him around in hypothetical swaps after seeing everything go down over the past few months I think now we could safely

Say that monmo for all intents and purposes has shattered all of our expectations last night monmo was a Human Highlight Reel out there oh my goodness what a performance by Monty against the Rangers again the top team in the entire NHL that’s no easy feat to go out there and beat this team

Especially 4-3 in a shootout with the Firepower that they boast up front but montmo made 45 saves and had a 938 save percentage in this game and some of the stops that he was making especially in overtime were just Stellar the Breakaway slap shots the on the rush chances just

The amount of offensive Firepower the Rangers have they did not go easy on Monty but he stood tall some of the saves that he made towards the very end of overtime to keep the Canadians in it these were great and then of course the Highlight Reel save the number one save

That everybody is talking about comes in the shootout and it’s against MAA zaban Jad Samuel monmo stopped a forsberg zaban Jad faked one way went over to the opposite side tried to Windmill it in but MMO oh my goodness monmo he’s able to reach back and grab it with the stick

Zaban Jed almost pulls it off perfectly but monmo sees it coming and uses the heel of his big goalie stick to swat the puck away what a picture what a save the Canadians win the shootout because Cole Coffield is the only one to score and

Monty ends up getting what I feel is the praise that he deserves From This Moment take a look at this article made by Eric angles from last night or not last night earlier this morning actually monmo further cements himself as a Canadian starter in thrilling shootout win Marty

St Louis opens up the article by saying we’re chasing consistency and Eric Engles goes out there and writes this if you would ask me 3 years ago if I thought I’d eventually be writing that about waiver wire pickup Samuel monbo I would have laughed at you but even the

The fourth most saves of his NHL career at a 4-3 win of the Rangers Saturday knows that you wouldn’t have asked most of them were saying I was an AHL goalie at best when I first came here when I bought my house in Tu R people were

Saying that was perfect because it was going to be close to playing in the east coast league but now Marty St Louise says this that montmo is playing like a number one goal tender Brendan Gallagher had this to say the improvements that montmo has made the way he’s work work

That is craft I still remember his first game in Buffalo didn’t go very well but the way he handled it he never lost belief in himself and continued to work and work and work now he’s at this point in his career where he’s winning games

For us and that’s hard to do in this league monmo comes and competes whenever he’s in that net and practice he works hard whenever it’s an off day for him he works hard he doesn’t really take any days off he’s a very hardworking kid and I think him playing for the Montreal

Canadians is very special and here’s the thing if you had looked at just the numbers before watching this video you didn’t see any of the games or whatever you would have said okay monmo has a 96 save percentage at 293 goals gained in 18 games that’s not like amazing now I

Do think it’s above League average but it’s not like the most incredible gamebreaking type of stuff in regards to his statistics but if you watch the caliber of saves that this guy has been starting to consistently make for the Montreal Canadians it really gets you think think and yeah this is a very

Talented player and I think he’s one that the Canadians can and will continue to have great success with monteno 27 years old is signed till the end of 2027 on a 3.15 million aav extension and if you wanted to talk about that dollar amount hey if this guy continues to play

Like the way he’s been playing the past few weeks for the next three seasons I think that’s a very reasonable dollar amount maybe even a steal of a contract this may be one of the best waiver wire pickups the Montreal Canadians have ever had and I wanted to also go over some

Other social media posts regarding him just to end off this video here’s one made on the arhab sub monmo speaking out about the Mika a bandad forsberg save he did the same move against me last year he went one way I bit on the fake and

Then he went the other way and he scored I recognized he was trying to do it again so I just tried to follow him I’m happy I was able to save it this time and that right there is nuts the amount of calibration it takes to see a move

Once have it happen to you get scored on and only need that to help you make the save next time and it’s like he remembered that too he didn’t even need to second guess it was just right there Zab banadad pulled the move off and monmo super casually just uses that

Stick to swat it away it’s like he knew it was coming and from the he made he’s like yeah I kind of did that’s badass right there here’s another post made on the Montreal Canadian sub monmo with the pick of the Year candidate it is that

Save that he made on zaban Jad Hab Chronicle goes out there and replies this people don’t realize what a great story monmo is the dude played 25 games for the Panthers before being sent down to the miners during covid he was picked off by the Canadians on waivers and was

Supposed to be an AHL backup to Primo instead he went on to rotate with Allen on his childhood team and again the season after each year everyone noticing a clear progression in his game this year he gets stuck in a three- goalie rotation before signing his first lucrative long-term NH shell contract

Where he then becomes his childhood team’s official starting golender and since then he’s been playing really great hockey on the team that despite all their heart and young Talent is extremely liable In Their Own Zone monmo gives them a chance every night our city has absolutely fallen in love with this

Guy he’s a Class Act a humble dude dude and he’s really developing into a solid starting goal tender albeit on a mediocre team I’m really proud of this guy and what he’s accomplishing and I’m happy to have him for the next 3 years and that sums it up I think this

May be the Canadians legit number one now like I’m sorry to all the gender prospects the Canadians have in their pipeline I’m sorry Fowler I’m sorry Primo I’m sorry all these other guys that do exist but for the Canadians and what they dis playing with Sam monmo in

The crease there really is no match like even with Jake Allen or any of the other guys here montmo has been the guy and that is something I don’t think anybody is going to go out there and dispute at this point anymore after seeing all we’ve seen with monmo and his

Progression is this the best waiver wire pickup the Canadians have ever made I know Paul Byron is another one that comes to mind but monmo is this the guy you can let me know your thoughts in the comments section below about the way Monty has progressed if he is the

Canadian’s legit number one starter now how this is a talk that we need to be having to be getting our Affairs in order and whether or not you feel the Habs made out like bandits from the Florida Panthers with this acquisition it’s not like he’d be getting too much

Of an opportunity to play in Florida now anyways if he was still there I mean with Spencer Knight in the mix being the long-term projection guy and having Sergey bosski also signed on forever it’d be tough to break on to that scene but for Montreal his hometown team his

Favorite team and A Team where the city is absolutely loving him now I think this is a pretty good fit what do you think let me know your thoughts in the comment section below I hope you enjoyed this v99 and Bye

  1. It was a low risk, high reward play for a team that has virtually no good goalies in their prospect pool anyways. I wouldn't necessarily say it was a brilliant move by Montreal. More like the right move at the right time where you're seeing the best-case scenario with such a young waiver claim. On paper, both in terms of his position on the Panthers' depth chart and comparing his performance to Knight's, everything suggested that he should have been waivered when he was.

  2. Montreal Canadians clinch the Stanley Cup. It's done. Give them the cup! Vancouver you are finished. Go home! Now next week, somebody else might have won the cup in 2024. Then the week after that…

  3. Montembault is good. Trade Him for a first and a prospect.
The 27 year old is very good. he has played 121 games is 42-50-15. He has one shut-out in his career and has a 3.40 gaa and .897 sp.
He's got a .906 sp and 2.93 this year. He has been above average all year.

  4. Is Monty a top ten goalie? I went on money puck today to take a look at where Monty ranks. I seen 29 all around. I thought thats not right. I took a look at him on 5 on 5 and hes 5th. He has a 934sv^ and a 1.84 gaa with 8.3 GSAVx (On 5 on5 ). If the Habs had a top ten pk and didnt give up a billion shorthanded chances he could easily have a 920^+ and 2.50 gaa+

  5. The Sabres had a great game vs the Habs, eh? 😊

UPL made 41 of 42 saves vs Pittsburgh!
    A .970 s%.
Pens have just as much power as the NYR.
