The Habs games are not pretty, but the ultimate goal is to win games. On one hand, I have a major issue with how Mtl plays defensively or lack there of, however, you do need to give MSL&the coaching staff credit for the record they have which if it were any other coach (altho I really miss Luke Richardson) this group would probably not be progressing and be playing .500 hockey. I do find it interesting watching MSL in certain dialogue with Hughes&Gorton as he sets up the lines…case in point: the fact that MSL keeps his vets from playing with the young guys ex: Guhle-Barron, Matheson-Savard, Cole-Suzuki-Slaf, Anderson-Evans-Gallager (no pairing young guys with vets which I find so interesting…good? bad? not sure?). Their plan is obviously to let the chemistry build with the young group as they know the vet players may not be in the plans for much longer. I still have issues with imo is not a great defensive structure (lots of chasing) and wish they were way more aggressive on the PK, plus I question why Kovacevic is being scratched over Harris. Do they like Harris that much more over Kovy or are they display shopping Harris/Savard…time will tell. Obviously we will hopefully get a clearer picture after the trade deadline. Congrats to @HabsDigest on 10Ksubs and @DrewDekes will not be far behind. Good job boys!
Trade Anderson, he's the best candidate because of his contract and the value you could get in return. That would allow the team to make a run at the playoffs.
DrewDekes and HabsDigest I don't know how I didn't follow you exactly at the same time when Juraj Slafkovsky started playing for monreal but I've been pulling with you since then and all three of you are super positive and passionate about the game and I have to say that I always agree with everything you say 😀 and it's incredibly interesting that we're separated by such a big distance but I can also share my experiences and opinions with you like this. I have never followed hockey actively and I am so familiar with Montreal that I don't even know Slovak teams that well 🙂 thx for making this video bouth of you <3

Great episode guys. I for one so appreciate all the work, time and effort you guys put in to produce these "very good" hockey/Habs episodes. Always informational, humorous and with up to date facts on the games and the team. You have to get Hockey Junkie with to do one of these with you. Would add another level to a great collaborative effort imo. 🙂
All these inconsistencies with the Habs will benefit them in the long run because they're learning at every stage and most of them are so young. Like everyone else, I get impatient with the team but we have to chill ( as Price said) overall and watch as this team grows.
Last night was the best game I've seen from Monty, those saves in the shootout were sick! GHG
You're done tanking. This team is passed that. We are at the point you need to see progression. If I didn't see progression I'd be worried not happy. winning culture is everything. Leafs tanked for yrs now look. Built the team wrong. They will never win with that philosophy.
