Laval had to battle back to force OT but they were able to pick up the 2 points in the shootout as it was an impressive road win. The top pairing of Logan Mailloux and Arber Xhekaj continues to look the part. Mailloux has hit the 20 point mark and has 18 points in the last 24 games, Xhekaj with 10 points in the last 11 games. Sean Farrell was injured and didn’t return. Jared Davidson has 3 goals in his last 5 games. Kasimir Kaskisuo gets the win to remain a perfect 2-0 in 2 games and give Dobes a much needed rest.

Just looking at the highlights, so take this with a grain of salt, but 72 is doing a lot of the same things that got him sent down to the AHL. He’s constantly headhunting and forgetting about the play, and he’s defensively out of position far too often.
