Marc Andre Fleury made a couple of crazy saves at the end of the Minnesota VS Columbus game on route to his 551st win, now tied for second all-time with Patrick Roy. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!
That sick camera work at the beginning with the zoom into Chinakhov's disappointment after Fleury gloves his shot was SUPERB. Kudos to that cameraperson!
Also, Brodeur used to be my fave goalie. I picked his #30 as my college lacrosse number.
Simply put, Fleury is a hall of famer. There's no argument against him.
He's also one of the GOATs and almost never gets his due respect. I think a lot of it has to do with his rocky start and his 1st overall pick status, but I think a lot of it also has to do with people just not liking him for whatever reason. Which just blows my mind when I see just how positive and bright a person he is.
Was listening to that game at the gym then I quickly came home to watch the rest on tv and I was on the edge of my seat during that last minute of regulation. I for one at apologizing for all the times I’ve said “Fleury fell off.”

The only reason why Fleury tied Roy is because he has 65 wins from shootouts. Roy never got the benefit of shootout wins and has 131 ties. Imagine if just half of Roy's ties where shootout wins, he would be over 600 which Fleury will not get. Fleury is a good goalie but he's not in the same category as Roy, Hasek, etc.
As someone of a similar age to Fleury, trust me, anyone can look 22 for a few seconds. It's the long stretches of time where the old bones start to wear and feel creaky hahahahahaha
Fantastic goaltending by the Flower. He's a wonderful person too. He's always got a smile on his face. I ran into him at the MSP airport when he was headed to the All Star game in Las Vegas a few years ago for some PR work. Nobody recognized him except me. Amazing! What a nice guy.

Goalied the bruins in just about the same way last month; I’m thinking a few of those teams that let him go are kicking themselves now 😂
