With all their faults this game, the turning point was the allowed goal on goalie interference! And you know if the isles had scored a goal like that, it would've been waived off!
Hi Gil! The coaching is just plain awful. We need a coach with structure, firmness and a true gameplan. Sorry- Sorro has been hung to dry. This was a winnable game—-VGN struggling, many guys out—like us and we succumbed to defensive mishaps. Gil, I’ve kept an eye on Mayfield since his return—-brutal!! Not all on him—even if ya get in—-can’t win a series hanging your excellent goalie to dry like this. I’d also like for opposing commentators to stop reading and repeating comments from 2-3 years back. “The Islanders are stingy, structured and don’t give you much”! They give teams plenty—-they should get up to date on how terrible our team is defensively. Take care Gil! Of course—-we were the medicine VGN needed!!
So Gil, tell me this…. Pitt played Buffalo last night. I saw the play Crosby scored and the refs took the goal off the board! In the video Guentzel supposedly interfered with goalie on the play and it eerily looked like Same play with Sorokin where goal stood! Correcte if I'm wrong and I don't think I am!

Nothing changes. It's virtually impossible for this team to turn in a 60 minute solid effort against + .500 teams.
