THE WINNIPEG JETS ARE THE TOP TEAM IN THE NHL!!

Well, I can’t say I saw this coming! The Winnipeg Jets have been on an incredible run for the first half of the 23-24 NHL season. I go over how they’ve been so consistent, and why their success is sustainable.

  1. While im very impressed by what the Jets are doing, im still waiting. I’ve learned to never pound our chest until the end. After all, it’s sports. Let’s Go Jets.

  2. Every single player on this team knows their role. They are working TOGETHER like a TEAM. They might not be the most flashy, exciting games to watch, but this team finds ways to win. Stick to the plan and they will have success. Bones for Jack Adams and Chevy for the Jim Gregory this year.

  3. obviously I'd hope for a bigger name for our 2C, but Schwartz would be a great pick. He's 61% on the dot this year with 15 pts in 23 games. he's also performed well and made multiple deep runs into the playoffs, including a run that saw him hoist the cup. he is also from Saskatchewan so I think he'd be a good pick

  4. As a golden knights fan this makes me happy. The jets fans are great and I got nothing but love for them. I was showed nothing but love and respect from the fan base last year. I had extra tickets for the golden knights vs jets game and I bumped into a guy with his boy trying to get tickets to the sold out game. I gave him my tickets and we became friends. He ended up flying me out to Winnipeg for a golden knight/jets playoff game and had a total blast. I hope we don’t face them in the playoffs this year but if we do and they win I will be rooting for them.

  5. I pray that our team somehow, some way acquires Sean Monahan & Sean Walker by the trade deadline w/o trading our core players & disrupting the team chemistry. Even if its only for this year. I feel that those 2 players are the missing pieces.

  6. Winnipeg Sports Talk dreamin of the possibility of Ovechkin or Crosby comin to WPG at or before the trade deadline for one more shot at a Cup. Thoughts? D or C at the deadline or both? I think adding a threat to help bolster the PP would be amazing.

  7. Doesn't matter what the standings are mid-season, anything can happen, only 8 of 37 Presidents Trophy winners won the Stanley Cup with the last one being the Blackhawks in 2012/13. Remember 2019 when the Blues started the year scraping the bottom of the standings with the worst record in the league? They beat the Jets in Round 1 and went on to win the Stanley Cup.
TBF I picked the Oilers in the West, I know, bad choice, maybe, they could still get in the playoffs then anything goes, but it was pre-season and Hellebuyck & Scheifele hadn't signed their new contracts yet so I wasn't feeling it and nobody expected Vancouver to be as good as they are except their hometown fans.
