Vanecek was under siege in the first period against Boston and kept Devils in the game)))) And then 2nd period collapse happened. Daws kept Devils in the game but then gave up goals #3 and 4 and even Vanecek would not have given up #4 goal. A 10yo kid would not made the mistake for that 4th goal. Devils lost but I guess Vanecek is at faultđ¤Ł
Miller won hardest shot in the AHL all star game years ago. I believe when he was in the Bruins system
Hard fought game. Daws was under attack all game, and considering this was his 3rd game back and it's the Canucks, I think he did pretty well. Some goals like the 4th were unfortunate, but with time the defense and Daws can go well. Unfortunately if we want to save this season we don' have time. After watching the 1st, nice to have some faith in a goalie. Also my respect for Siegs đ after seeing him fight until the goal.
Cool to see Miller putting in work. Unfortunate we couldnt come back, probably would have if we didn't have a full injury lineup, and I know we were already on the PP but bs that the trip against Luke wasnt called. If Daws gets his chance, I think we would benefit a lot more with some rugged defense, but most of all while Jack is out we need Smitty and the boys to step up and protect guys like Nico, Luke, and Mikey or we're done for.

Of course I truly believe that Vancouver Canucks definitely cheated big time.
do you know why Devils won in Ottawa? Because the Sens in my eyes is the worst team this season. Worst than the Sharks. Do you know why we won in Washington? Daws had .885 save percentage but Devils won that game because the Caps goalie was even worse. In Vancouver game Daws faced the first real team and gave up 5!! goal with one goal being a shocker!! Save percentage .878!!!! Two games out of three with less than .900. But Vanecek is the problemđBut still as I said I'd like to see more of Daws to get the better understanding what goale he is. All this stats show that Vanecek was not the main problem. THE DEFENCE IS!!!!!!!
The L I was mostly expecting tbh however the SOG differential is simply ridiculous and unacceptable.
you said it perfectly only reason VV gets win is by out scoring, compared to with schmid or daws we donât score high. but anyone watching games can clearly see daws and schmid is better daws played a hell of a good game if that was VV it would been 12-4 game. daws cant do much when the other team looked like the had a power play on us the whole first 2 periods of the game we had no offense going at all and the other team was getting shooting practice at us

It has been a rough season for the Devils and fans regarding injuryâs, and itâs starting to get a bit scary imo. I do hope everyone recovers, but the rate that weâve been losing players at in these stretches is concerning and I hope something happens (*cough* wrapping the players in bubble wrap *cough*) soon to help.
Onto Thursday, which a four day break should be illegal – how the fuck am I supposed to stay sane without them.
You know how the Vancouver coach used a timeout after we scored a couple to regroup, weâre allowed to do that too, right?
The no call on the blatant tripping is infuriating. âŞWas a 1 goal game with well over 2 mins left. This wouldâve given the Devils a 2 min two-man advantage, not including the possibility of pulling goalie on top of that for a potential 6 on 3. Horrific call, and another example of Bettmanâs Bozos writing the ending instead of letting the players do that.
Canucks shouldâve faced and been forced to defend a 6 on 3 for the final 2 minutes as the devils tried to tie the game. Instead they get a goal after (unintentionally) breaking Siegâs foot and enjoying an unofficial PP for the better part of a minute.

I'm beginning to get the impression Fitz won't make a drastic move even with the injuries because of asset costs. He will just ride this out to April, for better or worse, so that we don't lose a roster player like McLeod/Mercer/Holtz. This was mentioned by Marek and Friedman on the 32 Thoughts pod… It's a frustrating decision if that infact becomes reality, but I get it. The window just opened for NJ. Don't push our trade chips in this yr, save them for next 1-2 yrs and the off-seasons would be the thinking there. At the end of the day we will need to address goaltending one way or another eventually, and atleast 43 and 17 are getting prime minutes to learn rn this year. I hope it makes them stronger for 24-25
