  1. Leafs are still paying half their money just to 4 players, they are paying everyone else 4th liner basically. They are playing the hope game that the other team lines 2-4 won’t score on them. And their own 1st line don’t have a bad night. So second round is probably the best they’ll get for the next 8 years.

  2. Im just happy with the Red Wings 3 straight wins on the road and DeBrincats Gordie Howe Hat Trick🤘

  3. The Toronto model is getting worse and worse. They are paying $54,153,000 next season to FIVE players. 4 Forwards and 1 defender.

  4. Jets get 12 game point streaks 2 more times in a row and they'll break the '79/80 Flyers team record for 35 consecutive games with at least a point. It's like that Bon Jovi song "Whoa, we're a third of the way there, whoa, livin' on a prayer."

  5. It'll be next year that the Leafs get hit. Nylander at $11.5, Matthews at 13.5, Tavares at 11.5, and Marner at 11, Rielly at 9 even if the Cap goes up by $3 million they'll once again be looking for bargain-basement players; shows what happens when you trade away draft picks and don't trade for higher picks with guys you aren't going to keep. Colorado didn't get Makar and Byram by accident, they traded up in the draft ahead of time and were smart.

  6. When Murray was in town against our team, I think they had him called Matthew Murray to differentiate him.

  7. I think Petey wants to stay in Vancouver…I think $12.5 for 8 years is a good contract for him, but I'm betting the Canucks offer him 5 years…and that may piss him and his agent off.

  8. 2 Sebastian Aho's in the NHL, 2 Elias Pettersson's in Vancouver's system, now 2 Matt Murray's in the NHL. What an era in hockey we live in.

  9. 👍🏾👍🏾hi THG can you please tell the "Entertainment guy" if he can do a video on NFL Superbowl predictions on who he thinks gonna win the Superbowl by the way good hockey video 👍🏾👍🏾😎

  10. Pastrnak must really like it in Boston, if Nylander gets 11.5 does Pastrnak not get 13 on the open market? Yet he signed for less then what Nylander just signed for

  11. Can’t wait for the jets to get whooped in the first round, not because they’re good but because Winnipeg fans are the most sore winners I’ve ever seen 😂 I’ve never seen a fan base attack other teams like the jets but hey they do live in Manitoba nothings really going on there aside from this

  12. I truly think Treliving still wakes up in a cold sweat thinking about the Gaudreau situation. Handing out one diamond encrusted immovable contract after another

  13. I'm willing to allow that NHL GMs probably have a lot of information that we, the comments section, are not privy to.

  14. Am I missing something here? The entire continent of Europe is in a recession as is the USA and every indication is that the global economy is collapsing. Yet somehow the salary cap in the NHL is going to go up drastically over the next few years despite all of this and the facts that arenas around the league are half empty (do the eye test when you watch a game) despite the numbers they report AND Disney/ESPN hemorrhaging billions! How is it that absolutely nobody wants to have a real conversation about any of this?

  15. LA has never been more than 1 game above .500 at home all season, whether it was 3-3-3 or 7-7-5, so I'm not sure what results from a few weeks ago you're referring to (maybe beating Calgary and San Jose for one of their 2 game win streaks?). They have 2 2-game win streaks at home, so this isn't something recent.

  16. Praying Reinhart is willing to take a slightly lower number to stay in Florida where the no state income tax helps even things out.
