The Minnesota Wild picked up their second consecutive 4-3 win in overtime by beating Montreal at Xcel Energy Center. Kirill Kaprizov scored his second consecutive game winner, and third goal in the last two games, as the Wild shook off a lull with Marco Rossi serving an instigator penalty during the middle of the game. Brock Faber scored on the Power Play, Marco Rossi scored and had 3 points and Matt Boldy added a goal for the Wild in the win. The Wild are now 9-3 since John Hynes took over. Filip Gustavsson stopped 22 of 25 shots for the Wild in the win. The Wild host Boston on Saturday for their next game on Saturday.

Is this the first game where Kirilla, Boldy and Rossi all scored a goal in the same game? Serious question.
I like this team but Bill Guerin is one bad drinking bender away from destroying a lot of future potential with rookies & prospects.
Dude is a known boozer, and must have been on the sauce when he handed out those contracts to Foligno & Hartman.
And because of that, Yurov isn’t coming over til 2025 at the earliest
I’m over Billy G. He’s a meathead that copes with pressure through boozing and a team with our minuscule margin for error can’t have someone like him at the helm. We’re not winning a cup with him and his caveman, borderline nepotist (oh u played in Pitt, oh you’re a low skill “tough guy”) ways
Fun fact: Goldie Howe only had 2 "Gordie Howe Hat Tricks" in his entire career.
Last night's game was a fun one.
The Hynes core is perfect. Couldn’t agree more with those names. What’s also exciting is Johansson FINALLY getting rewarded for his play, his assist was sick last night. I do know, getting your name on the scoresheet can do wonders for one’s confidence. Rossi’s was the man last night, right there with 97. I think it’s safe to put a 23 – Rossi on any jersey purchase 💯. Looking at the Iowa Wild roster, I’m hoping Spacek / O’Rourke / Masters / Lambos get some looks as well as the Wild navigate the season currently with 4 bottom Six D until 46/25 get healthy. Maybe you find another diamond in the rough?? Faber has to be a Calder candidate, unbelievable the stability he provides the D core. The Kings are probably wondering what the hell they let go. He’s a top D potentially for the next decade and one of those players every franchise dreams of having. Montreal does have some nice players, but well, we beat Montreal like we lose to Pittsburgh – the quirks of hockey. 🏒. Fun game to attend, crowd was in to the game and loud. Merry Christmas and all I want for Christmas is another W over Boston…..
It really seems that there is more skill in thos lineup but was hidden in strategy of slow, defensive play! I think that was Dean's Achilles Heel, he was to pro defense 1st to the degree it pushed too much system, not skill approach. If you can manage games playing with pace instead of grab, hold, slow play you can unlock plays that just weren't happening under Dean.
I definitely DID NOT miss Spurgeon last night, not sure about the rest of you. But that's just over $7.5M that's been sitting in the press box for 75% of the season so far. The dude needs to get shipped for a quick 3rd rounder, and be done with him! Give the C to Ekker and his A to Faber….like yesterday.
I think Spurgeon's NMC opens up this off-season too right?
Let's say we do catch up in points and make the playoffs. Can we call it the Hynes catchup season?
