Yesterday, newly signed Red Wing member Patrick Kane had what should have been the easiest goal of his career stolen when Predators goaltender Juuse Saros pulled off a last minute glove save. Despite the amazing skill in net the game resulted in Detroit securing an overtime victory.

  1. "but they're fun to watch"

Not if you're a Wings fan. The lack of structure and brain farts are insane. They look like a completely different team from the way they were playing in the first two months.

  2. If the Wings aren't doing better, that's not on Kane. He has been producing goals and assists consistently. As far as defense, Kane is not a defenseman so not sure what your point was there

  3. Just saying, Forsberg's goal shouldn't have ever happened, since Seider was forced to leave the ice by Cody Scissons intentionally pulling Seider's helmet off, in response to his uncalled elbow earning the ire of the German Giant. First an elbow – yeahhh Seider retaliated, but the elbow was scummy and goony, and pretty blatantly intentional. And intentionally pulling a player's helmet off is Unsportsmanlike Conduct.

  4. I know you don't talk a lot about the Caps, but there was a weird called back goal against Ovi today for "goalie interference". Was wondering if you saw it and your thoughts on it ? I genuinely believe it was nothing more than a good screen, but always interesting to see other takes

  5. I’d say the injuries to the red wings 1C and 2C then both their starting goalies later in December played a bigger role to going 3-7 in 10gp more so than Kane being a defensive black hole

  6. I don’t think the Wings are contenders but if they iron out their d issues, especially their breakouts and neutral zone game they are pretty competitive. I think the bad stretch has a lot to do with them playing so many games, losing both of their top 2 centers which forced Kane into a bigger role than expected before he was ready. That hurt the offense which is a problem for the Wings cuz they often need to outscore their problems.

  7. there was some weird officiating tonight, I'm hoping you make a video discussing it. besides the comments from other people about Ovi and Seider, in the Oilers-Kings game, Raphael Lavoie got a suspect penalty for interference because Kempe forgot to look both ways before jumping off the bench and directly into a collision, and there were for SURE a couple other missed calls that would have benefited the Oilers. I remember someone holding hyman about 5 minutes in and a high stick that got ignored right at the end, and derek ryan got treated like an aluminum can at a recycling plant the whole night (he eventually drew an interference call, but it took a hot minute). would really like to hear your opinion.

  8. Injuries (and suspensions) have really hurt them during that stretch .. they are finally getting back to a healthy squad and getting some of the rust off. If they can get it together and make the playoffs, they would be very fun to watch. No doubt

  9. You know what's funny ?
Everyone who dick rode Kane is now questioning their own existence. 😂
    Fair weather fans at best.

Let Patty play, sit back, and relax.

I'd love to see the A Typical Fan get surgery, then go play hockey.
    🤣👍

Kane works more in 1 game than most people work all year, and Im not a Kane fan. That's reality.

  10. I was at both this game and the leafs game against the canes as a neutral(b’s fan on a road trip, went to bruins-sabres, then tonight senators-sabres) and everyone went wild as well as me, same with kochetkovs almost save which I think was out but…

  11. They need to fix their defense. And it’s mind boggling that Edvinsson is still chilling in GR. The goalie situation is so sticky too. Other than that. They are scoring goals. But they have been playing way too shitty lately to even have a chance at being a playoff contender. Kane though has been so good 😂 I feel bad for him. The wings were rolling before he came. You can’t blame the man. He’s putting it all out there.
