Anytime we beat the Criers I'm Happy. I'm just glad Rakell is feeling it right now.
My favorite thing is that the Flyers fans aren't chanting "Giroux's better" anymore. Beating the Flyers is great…..making their fans reminisce is so much better
Not to knock the goaltending, it was really good however… it's like you said, the flyers are not that good. If they give up that many odd man rushes to good teams, they are gonna have trouble winning games. Not to be a negative Nancy but the pens defense gave me anxiety a few times.
Chemistry between Geno and O'connor
Nedeljkovic
Rudys' subtle pause on his goal. Which not only changed the angle as he mentioned in the broadcast, but it threw a wrench in the timing expectations of the tender. Those little things (like the way Tanger is playful with the puck feinging wristers at the top and shifting his stance) are some of my favorite things in this game.
Michelle Crechiolo was fantastic filling in for Phil Bourque doing color commentary on the radio. Now if we can just get rid of Phil's commercials for Shenderovich, Shenderovich & Fishman, and Rich Bazzy with Shults Ford, life would be so much better.
When you asked the question my mind went to the quick goal we scored first, then to Geno's shot at top left, etc., PLUS the team rushing to the net to back up Letang getting piled on. Overall it was a great game! And I loved the "boring' play, especially when we went several minutes in the third period without a whistle.
Loved how chippy the game was, the 4-1 final score, and just a thought Ned should b an allstar.
A dedicated commitment to 60 minutes of effort. This is HOW they can play.
That we can win even when Sid and Jake don’t score.
The first answer I had was that they won. Unlike Tomlin and the Steelers "Style Points Don't Matter" mantra, The Penguins typically seem to think it's all about the style points. But when you are scratching and clawing just to remain in the playoff picture, then the hubris that comes with that thinking needs to be shelved. These Penguins need to rally around the mindset of whatever it takes to win, and even if you don't think you are that type of player, you need to be that type of player now.
heightened emotion
Having Rakell scoring again is critical for us moving forward! He makes way to much money and has way to much talent not to be scoring almost every night. His time off from injury was a blessing for him to reset and get back to playing like he knows how to play!
My favorite thing is the quick PP goal that energized the boys and took some pressure off that PP unit
The Pens seem to play great when Ned is in net.
It’s time for us to beat Vancouver next! Let’s goo!
They were only boring AFTER the multiple scrums – they actually matched another team's after-the-whistle-bs in an NHL way and phflers had nothing after that. It can't be a one-time thing. If they want to win, "turn the other cheek" Sullivan hockey has gotta go.
Doc becoming a Swiss army knife for this team. He is playing well and he has been placed on several lines. He looks very good with geno and rust.
