Not super worried, we knew they would eventually cool off and at least they have avoided that multi game losing streak. But I would be lying to you if I said I wasn’t worried about puck management and turnovers
When Blake Wheeler scores it’s so easy to cheer for him, but it so often feels like he just can’t catch up to anyone else and then when he gets the puck it’s like he panics and turns it over
If this play continues from Wheeler and the first line, Evan would you be opposed to a Kane or Tarasenko reunion to fill in for Wheeler next to Zibanejad and Kreider?
Overall, I think it’s good that we got the point after being down 3-0 and this team continues to show the “No Quit” this year. But they need to get back on track and maybe find a little heater soon because NJ and Carolina are looking like they are finding ways to start to catch fire. Carolina is 5-0-1 in there last 6 and now are within 5 points of the Rangers so they don’t have a huge lead anymore.
Give Them Hell. Not to take anything away from Montreal, but, The Only Excuse For All Of These Millionaires is We Beat Chicago with Everything We Had, So, We Had Nothing Left For This Game. Unexcusable. So, let anyone that criticizes you for criticizing The Rangers, that I'm With You, So, It's Not You Alone. Sorry that you get so much grief. Rather than get mad at us for being critical of the team's Mediocrity, maybe The Rangers should Hire Us To Tell Them that They're Not As Good As They Think, before they Find Out The Hard Way after The Regular Season. I think we will see more moves than we are used to around the TDL. Personally I feel like we can move away from Kakko, Schneider, Lindgren, etc.
I think they should target Hanifin, Tanev and Domi.
I think that GM Chris Drury is making plans for the future right now, while at the same time trying to get them The Stanley Cup this year. Again, the ONLY problem that I have with him, is his Trade Deadline Acquisitions Rentals (not the acquisitions, themselves, but, the fact that there's not even an attempt to acquire players that he's going to keep or in keeping players that he had acquired – that list is as long as The RWs you mentioned after Matt Zuccarello was sent to Dallas). I don't see many, if any of the discount players being on The Rangers next season. I also see him trying to dump/trade Jacob Trouba, who is a slight upgrade from Nick Pionk (sadly, after seeing him go end-to-end & score, as A Ranger, I thought that he was going to be a much better fit, as A Ranger & A Jet, however, that hasn't happened), but, at $2-3M/year additional salary, unfortunately, Jacob Trouba hasn't been Brian Leetch 2 (it should be noted that this is not only one of the reasons that JD & JG got fired, but, as in his Press Conference, the primary, if not THE MAIN, REASON that Chris Drury said he had to deal Pavel Buchneivich was nothing more than Dollars & Cents not adding up). I also see him with A Huge Question Mark about 2 Future Contracts in Mika & Igor pretty soon. I don't see Drury extending either, unless their playing improves & unless the Contracts are some Discount because they want to stay in New York. Let me know what you think & if you agree.
I wonder if part of the Othman benching is from upstairs because obviously he ain’t going nowhere in the deadline so maybe Drury wanted to really pinpoint the holes with the ‘original’ roster if you like.
