Blackhawks Trade Jokiharju for Alex Nylander

  1. Is this real life what is happening did Stan Bowman just go insane🤦🏻‍♂️ never been so confused I’ve heard another bad Trade is supposed to be coming soon it’s rumored to be ERIK GUSTAFSSON and a 2 round pick and Chad Krys to Carolina for Gustav Forsling and Brock McGinn

  2. Bowman is what the rest of the NHL is becoming. A league with zero tolerance for young players who don't develop in just 1 year.

  3. This is a great trade. Jokiharju showed nothing when he played . 0 goals, -12 +/-. He is nothing special. Nylander has loss of potential that needed a change of scenery. Could be another strome Trade. Everyone pissed at first and then now we love the trade. Nylander has a ton of potential. Great trade for Chicago.

  4. Just looking at the trade it looks like Buffalo won this but you have a 21 year old with great speed and hands in Nylander I am going to give this a wait and see

  5. If Alex has the same lazy self-entitled attitude as his brother, William, and father… then the Blackhawks lost out on this trade.

  6. What a stupid trade! The last thing the hawks need is another young forward who isn’t even good! The first thing we need is defense and jokiharju would probably be a top 4 guy on the hawks!

  7. Hopefully Nylander can get his game together or we r probably going to see a top 9 forward that we don’t want and then look at Jokiharju become a top 2 or 4 defenseman in Buffalo, they easily won this trade but this could be like Dylan Strome and he just didn’t fit in in Buffalo

  8. Bowman has glut of d-men for this year's roster. Joki would have been a nice replacement for Seabrook, but that is not realistic given the strapped contract situation with Seabrook. Also, in the calculation, the Hawks will have a logjam of young D coming up soon. As for Nylander, Bowman is trying to catch lightning in a bottle as he likes to do. He likes to get rich on other teams throwaways. Bowman has been making trades and snagging players that were drafter higher than the guys he trades away… Perlini, Strome, Koekkoek, Oli Maata, De Haan and now Nylander. Not only are they firsts, but they are older now and theoretically ready to produce at the NHL level. One writer put it this way "The Blackhawks are destined to be a "boom or bust team" in the central division coming up in 19-20. I say Boom! Here is a trivia question, how many first round picks currently make up the Hawks roster? The Hawks will put the pedal to the metal this next season to make a splash and only get better over the next couple to see if Kane and Toews and company can bring home the Cup at least one more time.

  9. Nylander.."I'm just really happy right now and really excited for the future," he said. "I just want to play my game and show them the player I can be."

  10. Yo Alex Nylander has all the tools he just has no fire because his whole hockey career was handed to him on a platter with a silver spoon in his mouth by his dad. That doesn't mean that he'll continue the pace he was on with the Sabres. The Sabres wanted him to crack the lineup. Chicago is probably just going to throw him in there even though he doesn't deserve it that's sort of been his whole life. So there's a good chance that's the way that he'll Excel and he might blossom into a 20 to 30 goal scorer. If you look at it that way you have to give up something to get something people in Chicago think Henri Jokiharju is soft that's from what I gather so maybe the Sabres can make him tougher. I think it was a good trade for both sides because if Alex blows up the Sabres got a good Prospect.

  11. It was bound to happen, Stan Bowman couldn’t leave a pretty solid offseason alone and had to make at least one questionable move. Nylander has a high ceiling and IF he pans out like Strome has so far we might be looking back on this as another good deal but as of right now, for a Hawks team that struggled with defense to trade not only a very young defenseman but one of the better defenders we have for an underwhelming forward this looks like a huge L.

  12. I think it's a very good trade, Patrick Kane is from South Buffalo. I'm pretty sure Chicago got the best of Buffalo right there. So at least you can do is give us a budding defenseman that can play alongside Rasmus ristolainen and speak Finnish because he's been struggling lately but is going to bounce back this year. Alex nylanders brother is pretty good and his father was okay they both wear the number 92. You can tell that Alex Nylander is only playing the sport of hockey because of his dad so that's a good thing he's entitled to this sport and expensive cars. If you take Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane and have them pass to him he'll probably put in a bunch on five-on-three power plays.
