Alright, I told myself I was going to hold off making any judgements about this team because like Bush so eloquently put it, “fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.”
After 10 games I said “lets see after 20”. After 20 games I said “lets see at American thanksgiving”. After Thanksgiving, sitting top of the league, I said to myself “What the fuck is going on…are…are we a wagon? No way, were the Canucks, the other shoe has to drop at some point, right?” Let’s see after half the season.

I could not tell that the islanders got a new arena
Desmith really gives us a chance to win whenever Demko gets a night off. Really gives a boost of confidence and allows us to leave some gas in the tank for the playoffs rather than grind Demko into pieces before even the end of the regular season.

Admittedly I haven’t seen every game, but has any Canucks goaltender been pulled this year? Wildly consistent.

Man I love how we’re playing this year. The whole team has so much chemistry and we have probably one of the strongest bottom six if not the strongest.

As a huge Canucks and Jets fan I don’t think I can mentally handle a western final between the two.

The last 3 games are making me change my tune on this team. They’ve found another gear they didn’t have so far this year. Legitimately imposing territorially and that top line might be the best in the league.

One thing that blows me away (among many things with this Canucks team) is how well the Canucks were able to forecheck on the second night of a back to back road set. Both first and second periods they swarmed the Islanders in the O zone. Even in the third period when they took their foot off the gas a bit, they did not afford the Islanders much space. Super impressive.
Missed the last three games. Becoming increasingly convinced I’m an anti-luck token: if I’m not watching, odds are they’re doing great.
