  1. I watched a Ducks game the other day… Zegras was mic'd up laughing, singing and whistling throughout the game. How do you think that would go over in Montreal? lol

  2. I can't believe Hughes didn't try to get something for Lindstrom before risking him on waivers. Maybe other teams see the logjam of defencemen and know he would be put on waivers and don't see the need to give up even a late round pick to get a shot at him. Hughes needs to make a few decisions on the D-men prospects soon as the logjam is only going to get worse when Hudson and Reinbacher come at the end of their seasons. Hughes needs to move a couple of them for at least future picks or better yet package them with draft picks to get higher picks as Habs have enough picks overall for the next couple of drafts.

  3. There must be no market for him or we would have traded Lindstrom not waive him. This guy is total surplus in Montreal. Good luck kid.

  4. No to Zegras. I think that the Ducks would want wayyyy too much for him, especially if they dont want Jake Allen. Habs still in the rebuild and we dont fully know what we have as far as our own prospects and roster spots go. At least two more seasons with Gally who wont be traded or demoted due to his salary which creates a bit of a bottleneck at Forward. What about Monahan and Armia? Dvorak is a mystery for next year too. He is on the books til the end of 24-25 so will the Habs extend him? Same for Evans as the 3/4C who also expires end of '25. Even Anderson SHOULD be better next year, but will he? If he gets moved at the trade deadline, that creates a F spot but where does Newhook go? Next season, Dach will be back so would that push Zegras to the 3C spot if we traded for him? Hard to imagine Zegras on the 3rd line. Suze/Dach/Zegras/Evans as Habs Centres? Pretty decent depth a C for sure if that happens. Too many question marks at this point to make a deal for Zegras.

  5. This is what i dont get. Zegras is a highly skilled player. But so are Caufield and Suzuki. 3 guys with basically 0 physical game on line 1 is bad. We need Slaf there for the rest of the season.

I think its time the Habs do something. Reinbacher imo still has great value and is a player we dont really need. Maybe him for Kent Johnson?

Suzuki I think is starting to show flashes of Bergey a lot this year. I dont necessarily see him winning the Selkie as long as Barkovs around.

  6. Having Zegras would be sick, but it crashes with my dream line for next season: RHP-Dach-Mesar

  7. Unlike the Habs Anaheim is on the right path they have a good group with several talented players.
Anaheim has 3 really good prospects that will soon join the team maybe end of year definitely by next year.I am a huge Zelwegger fan to me he is better than Reinbacher definitely more skilled. Then of course they have Mintyukov and I am also a big fan of Leo Carlsson.
As for Suzuki I have no problem with his two way play I had him second behind RHP as the two best 2 way players on the team far ahead of the rest.We do need to be careful with stats because Suzuki gets to play a lot with Matheson who makes a huge difference for Suzuki's numbers.
Anaheim is not trading Zegras lol unless of course the same problem all teams have and that is meeting the salary cap.
As soon as Mintkuyov and Zelwegger are paired up behind Zegras his numbers will soar.

  8. Why wouldn’t you go after him
That’s the dying question? We lack offense! Make a trade package with a forward prospect, a pick and a dman ! Make it happen.

  9. I think dating the social media d'Amelio sisters has had a negative impact on both Trevor Zegras and Cole Caufield 's production on the ice. Was it Zegras's influence on Cole the reason Cole is dating the younger sister?
The NHL is a tough league where you have to train hard in the summer and be focussed during the year. They should think about their careers first.
We don't need another Galchenyuk situation.

  10. I’d honestly be down for Zegras, I feel like Marty could coach him well and let him keep his happy attitude while also having him focus a bit more on the details of his game. We need more offense pretty badly, and Zegras is still pretty young, so if the price is right I’d be totally down.

  11. Getting Zegras would be amazing since his numbers don't justify anything higher than Suzuki's contract, which is very affordable.

  12. I'm confused as to why we wouldn't want him? Highly toted Elite scoring talent for pennies on the dollar, under contract and still rfa, exact age we are looking for, with the exact skill set we need. I'm not saying go get him, I'm just saying I can't think of reason why he doesn't fit.

  13. Please…..Zegras a hab? Toooo good to be true, my fav non hab American I would loooove in a hand jersey….sigh…
