So You’ one consider on this team get it’s huge you know he’s uh he’s been a leader for this team for a couple years now uh you know he has a certain mature presence on the back end for us um obviously uh good player great shot
From the point um so we’re happy to have him back and um we’re glad he’s good to go is it nice that you being an off defra it does I mean you know it goes with uh the way we want to play we’re we’re offensive team we’re a fast team
Um adding pry to the mix brings a little more of that to uh to our team like looking behind yourself it was funny um I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before um but it was good to have him around the team goes back to just the presence that he has
And the leadership that he can bring um he did a good job behind the behind the bench and we’re happy to get a win for him in his first uh coached game got a chance to talk to a few different guys over the month of December where constant message was we playing the
Right way everybody’s playing the right way it’s trending in the right direction results just haven’t been there how did you kind of the lastek uh just like being in the games being on the bench watching the boys play being on the ice we feel like we’re playing the right way we’re playing fast
We’re we’re outplaying teams in most areas but we’re just not getting rewarded you know whether it’s um you know we can’t score running into a hot goalie um we feel like we’re playing way better than we were a month or two ago um and we’ve worked hard to take those
Steps um with apps and our coaching staff and just throughout the week of practice so um if we can keep keep going the way we have been for the past week or two we think that we’re going to win a lot of games long term probably e done
But how do you find that perfect balance where you guys are playing the right defensively but to do that and scss yeah it’s a tough task I mean you want to focus on defense as much as possible but you also want to outscore teams so it’s kind of a balance that you
Have to find and um like I said we we haven’t been scoring a lot of goals but we’ve been um playing really well defensively but we’ve also had pretty good chances that we’re not finishing on so I feel like if we have some patience Pati in our offensive game and we keep
Doing the the right things defensively those goals will start to go in for us and um you know we’ll hold teams to a low number of goals you played Cleveland now a few times this season and being defens you’re one of the guys out there some of other Dam
Forers they’ve been a good team year um they’re just deep they a lot of good players like you said um couple good players up front that we want to take away time and space from make make the game hard on them so um I mean you
Know it’s it’s two good teams going at it um it’s going to come down to you know who executes better and um should be a fun home and home for us and a good test oh yeah uh my dad was at the game he was sitting with all the parents and
The friends and stuff so uh I knew he was going to have a good game he’s just the type of kid like plays at home he’s ready to go and I I I had a confident feeling about how the game was going to go and it’s great to see him do well
