Not sure if the Cats can afford him, but the bottom lines could use a spark. Or would we rather roll with the current group + call up Mackie? I think Cousins’ days are limited when he’s back from IR.
That’s the type of dude that goes to another team that isn’t competitive. He has too much talent and youth for us to be able to trade for him. I think we’re more likely to get some low ceiling proven dudes that bad to mid teams won’t go for.

With Reinhart a pending UFA, and playing like he is, and the rest of the team, this is as much of an all in year as any.

I saw a comment once about Zegras that kind of sums him up pretty well.
He’s built for the all star game not the playoffs. Kid has talent and he’s young but that’s not what we need.

While I agree with most people’s sentiment here, he’s still young and there are no leaders and culture in Anaheim the way there is here now. We were basically like them before Zito as far as culture and mentality. That has changed. So a young guy like him coming here with the likes of Tkachuk, Barkov, Bennett, Ekblad etc as leaders can go a long way to get the right attitude out of a young talented skilled player to elevate his game in the right path.
