It wasn’t pretty but the Edmonton Oilers win again Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 10

The Edmonton Oilers played ugly last night versus the Chicago Blackhawks but still managed to come away with two points. The Oilers two superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl scored the only two goals for the Copper and Blue, who beat the Blackhawks 2-1. Despite goals from those two, Stuart Skinner was arguably the Oilers best player denying Chicago on numbers occasions which helped elevate his save percentage back over 900.

With another victory last night, Edmonton has now won eight games in a row with the Detroit Red Wings next up on Thursday. The Oilers still sit in the second wildcard spot two points behind the Nashville Predators, who has played four more games than them. Based on win percentage, the Oilers are now ahead of the Predators.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will break everything down from last nights game, including two controversial disallowed goals against the Oilers. Let the guys know your thoughts too. Head to the Oilersnation YouTube channel during the live recording of Oilersnaton everyday to leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Booster Juice live chat.

Also on today’s show, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff released his updated trade targets list. The Oilers do not have anyone on the list after Warren Foegele was listed on the initial targets earlier in the year. However, the big headliner of the 25 man list is Trevor Zegras from the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks recently acquired Cutter Gauthier from the Philadelphia Flyers so could mean the conclusion of Zegras’ time in Anaheim is on the horizon?

  1. With Hyman's disallowed goals, there should be a league off game appeal for the goals. If it just increase the lead or ties, should be ok but if it's an actual loss it will be final as the games already over or at least give a tied point.
