  1. How surprising. 2 comments and they are both bots that you guys cant care to do anythong about. You guys are unreal. Dont see this crap on other sports channels… or tsn or nhl…. strange.

  2. This may be a point of disagreement,
but I'd feel more inclined to watch PWHL if they wore a half shield helmet (as they do in the NHL) as opposed to the full cage or full shield ones.
It may seem like a small thing, but people tune in for the on-ice personalities as well. When I see them skating around in full cages, it just seems very amateurish.

  3. Bro the leafs must have watched your show, between talking about holmberg, he gets a one handed goal. Roberston not playing, then gets played and scores. Goaltending solid. Core 4 weren't the only contributors. D playing up and getting involved. Main guys getting a little less ice time etc, these guys literally seem to have watched your show today 😂😂😂. Great game tonight also leafs 7-1 slapping. GLG

  4. Cutter Gauthier telling the Flyers that he wants no part of Philly and he goes to a team that's basically rebuilding

All of this goes back to when he asked the Flyers that he wants to turn Pro immediately after being drafted but the Flyers said they couldn't do that due to cap rules

I think Gauthier should've understand the Flyers situation and just continue to improve a little bit more in college and at the Flyers development camp and hopefully the team signs him

Instead he made the decision to go somewhere else to play and turn pro and shut the Flyers out

I know he's going to be asked about why he made that choice. Maybe he'll give and answer, maybe not but that his choice to make whether everyone likes it or not

  5. Chris Tanev is already 34. I'm never doing that trade for a guy that's only gonna be in the league for another year or two.

  6. The salary cap system in it's current state is broken. A team should never be in a position where they can't afford their own players that they drafted. The cap should have stipulations like only 90% of a drafted players salary should account towards the cap. This not only protects teams who develop these players but puts way more value on the draft. The cap also needs to consider state and provincial taxes and the cap should be based on a take home amount to level the playing field for teams fighting in the free agent market. Lastly there should be a soft cap with a luxury tax. If you go over the soft cap then you have to pay dollar for dollar over the cap in taxes. Maybe have tiers. (example: up to 2 mil over the cap is taxed 100%, 2-4 mil is 150%, 5-10mil is 200%, and if you go over 10M over the cap then you start losing draft picks.

  7. Thank God Brian Burke is not the GM in Toronto. If Toronto would have let go of Nylander he would have signed for more elsewhere the same holds true for Marner and that is the discount people keep talking about.

  8. Tavares is a machine! He wants to end his career in Toronto and win the cup. He'll re-sign for LOT less. He's already made his money.

  9. The way that the management is coddling Samsonov is scary.

And even worse than that, I shutter to think of what will happen if he comes back and does OK because I think it’ll just be a foundation made of sand open.

It’ll be in the back of his mind, and everyone else is mine, whether or not, he suddenly gonna fall apart again at any moment.

And the only way for Samsonov to truly get his mojo back he gets to suffer the consequences of his bad play like a big boy and work his way back up.

The same concept goes for Hilda be. You should’ve gotten that last game against San Jose, especially if they already knew they were going to send him down again or.

But they’re coddling him like he’s a Faberge egg.

What made the great goaltenders of the past so great? Was it their technical abilities? Was it the support they got from their team?

    Sure, those things help.

But more than anything else what made the greats truly great was their individual character, and will to win, and many of them succeeded in situations, specifically where they were being seriously doubt it. They used that struggle as fuel for their desire to win.

And so I think far from being nice to these guys, what we’re doing when we coddle them is condemning them – subjugating them emotionally. If a player needs other people to worry about his state of mind, he’s always going to be on thin ice especially when he’s playing well

  10. Nick Robertson should have been given a few shifts with the top two lines. Just to see a new element added to the chemistry to experiment looking for something that is special. I'm assuming Nick is being shopped. There are a few NHL teams that might pay more attention to Nick if he could show off value in his skill sets.

As for Keefe "not" playing the Beast. Sasquatch or not… I think the Leafs have to demonstrate more consistent team defensive cohesion before risking a year of confidence in the mind of a potential valuable critical prospect. The Leafs are going to hit a bump soon where they will be facing several years fishing for jewels, prospects, in the rough, and through trades, and then the insane free agency wilds. How many more goalies can the Leafs burn out, and through, when they decide to take a week off and be lazy?

Jones is a well traveled and seasoned professional. We know he can handle the work load. Jones won't be too shaken if the team in front of him starts going spaghetti-western or key-stone cops. One thing Jones does do. If the team in front of him is going to go crazy… he'll deliver an equal amount of care in ensuring he doesn't pull a groin, sprain an ankle, or end up in protocol, making attempts at insane saves. So if the score is being run up on Jones… it's because he's getting ready for the next game. Jones is going to play the team game, smartly, with the team. That's comforting when you think about risking tossing Hildabeast to the wolves.
