People tried crapping on the Gudas signing but damn he has added a nastiness and grit that we didn’t have, and he’s mentoring the young guys
For those complaining about Seravelli, Friedman and Dreger also suggested Zegras may be available on their podcasts. I don't understand how this might come as a surprise to anyone. The fact that Zegras wasn't already locked up to an 8×8 type contract this past summer when the Ducks had a brink truck full of money ready for him told me all I need to know. Anaheim getting a winger like Cutter Gauthier further proves it. Yes Verbeek runs a tight ship but sometimes you can still read the tea leaves. There is a lot of risk with Zegras and I don't think he's this franchise tier talent some have made him out to be but the Ducks will get a decent return on him regardless and they'll be better for it. If I'm the Rangers I'm giving up just about anyone who doesn't have a full NTC on their contract to bring Zegras home to NY.

The only reason Zegras would get traded is because he was unhappy with getting rid of Drysdale which honestly isn’t a bad reason but I still don’t think that would happen. Either way what I heard potential offers for him could be I think you guys should want to trade him because of how much of an overpay some of those were. Not saying Zegras isn’t gonna be an elite player but getting multiple elite prospects and a first honestly might be better.
It’s definitely just a rumor because drysdale was dealt; but I don’t think Verbeek would hesitate to trade him if the right opportunity comes along.
But agreed, ducks got the temporary juice boost from someone being traded last night.

Absolutely bullshit if our stuck in the past GM trades Trevor. We are in a deep rebuild, you need to keep a core group and add other similar age guys to add to that core but you don’t trade from that core so they can learn grow and succeed together. Trading Jamie hurt, I do like Cutter but still, trading from the core isn’t ideal.
