This is basically how I’d handle the goaltending the rest of the way, play each guy until they lose then switch it up. Back to backs notwithstanding, obviously.

Neds looking to get a nice raise for next season at this pace

  3. I personally think they’re trying not to push Jarry too hard with his injury history. Plus this keeps Jarry fresh for the end of the season push (and playoffs if we make them).

Jarry has still started 2/3rds of the Penguins games. Jarry has started 26 games so far this season, this will be Neds 13th start (Hellberg started 1 game).

Jarry has 26 games, at .916 and a 2.60. He’s either had a shutout or a rough ride a lot of this year.

Ned has still only played in 14 games. .922 and a 2.50.

Ned getting more starts right now, is a good thing in my opinion. This is a 1A and 1B goalie rotation. In such a rotation you’d expect there to be lot smaller gap. Hellberg only pickedup 1 start I think, so I really love seeing Ned get this time now. I just wish we could resign him before he gets too expensive to have around next year. Though it looks like young Joel Blomqvist is going to push sooner than later.

Watch out, Ned’s about to light up the stage tonight! Get ready for some serious entertainment, folks. Did you know that the first recorded joke dates back to 1900 BC? Comedy has been around for ages!

Happy to see that. Ned’s been even more red hot lately so I hope they stick with him for the time being, when it’s appropriate.

The odds are against them tonight. Gotta go with the better goalie. Agree with the move 100%. Jarry mentally unreliable.

I generally feel much more confident with Ned in net. I care less about getting a shutout in a blowout game than winning a close one with timely saves. Ned seems to have far fewer mental lapses in tight games.

Gotta ride the hottest glove given where we are.

Jarry hasnt even played bad – Hes been solid. Ned has just been on a heater.

Both goalies have been great for awhile now. Early season whoopings we took were a team issue more often than a goalie issue. I would like to see rotation in net so as to not ride either guy into the ground. They both have proven they can win games, keep them both healthy and sharp.

Not a good start, allowing 3 of 9 shots on goal to light the lamp.

Pens are trying to get back in the playoff race, and need better goalkeeping than this.
