Alex Kannok-Leipert joins Mike Vogel to break down his week at Capitals Development Camp after being drafted in the 6th round, 161 overall in the 2018 NHL Draft.
Caps see alot of potential in this kid as they really went after him and HE would be a great addition to the Caps defense and I have to say that he has a hell of a great slap shot on the net which he seems to be a natural at and for a defensemen is something that usually has to be developed along the way but I think the scouts see that this kid can fire hard and accurate at the net as well as being a great defensive player. I like his focus and work ethic on approaching the game and what he needs to do to play at the NHL level which is in my book a very defined and grounded young man that knows what he needs to do and has the skills to do it. Sounds like a smart dude; would like to see him make it. Crafty types who get taken in later rounds are always fun to root for.
