You guys are getting all of the players available Zebras, Dubois, Nylander, first rounders left right and center for Allens Monahan was supposed to be traded for MacDavid and yet …. he he still there Xhekaj is not going anywhere especially not for a first rounder, I will legally change my name to " Iam Anidiot" if it happen

Just because Xhekaj is in the AHL now doesn't mean that he isn't the better option in the future. Players do play in the AHL to season their game.
Maybe if you trade Arbor to Chicago for their first and……

Arber is made for the playoffs. What was Laval's record since he has been there 🤔, oh that's right they went from sucking to crushing it. No deal 🤡
We have lots of picks in the next 2 years. The 1st would likely be a bottom 3rd pick in the first but he's the type of guy you need in the playoffs. Thankfully I think KH and JG know that team building is more than just individual stats. Wifi is a great 3rd pairing guy and can play on the 2nd pair when you have injuries. With the guys we have coming I see Savard and Matheson as the traded commodities in the coming seasons (not immediately). All that said, we need to find a way to get more high end talent up front. I still think we need a 1C on this team and we will have to give assets to get it. I give Dach 1 more chance next season but if he can't stay healthy we need to bite the bullet and make a big trade for that 1C. Would love to convince Ken Holland that he can't afford both Draisaitl and McSuperstar and get Draisaitl to MTL but there'll be at least 20 other teams in on that player.
Hope Roy got more minutes than Heineman? #20 has to start shooting the puck more.

Jake Evans should be going to the All Star game he has been the most consistent player this year.
A complete package like Xhekaj is so rare to find and the Habs have stumbled on to him. I would sign him to a long term contract on the cheap right now. What if they trade him for a first rounder and it ends up being a 3rd overall like Kotkanieme? AND you just traded away a guy that will be able to protect the Caufields and the Hutsons of the team. Even as the number 6 D man you would be better of than any other team, specially if you have Hutson, Reinbacher, Guhle, Matheson and Struble ahead of him and Kovasevic or Barron behind him. If Montreal wants a first rounder I would look at trading Harris or Trudeau…
Best Habs player tonight – Jonathon Drouin!! 1G 1A +2, 25 mins ice time! He was dominating! But oh…wait…yeah…HUGO gave him up for absolutely nothing. 1 goal less than Caufield on the season, for league minimum salary. Glad to see it for Drouin!!!!
When you get deep in the playoffs, you need gritty guys like Xekaj. Someone does have to go but trade someone else.
WHY would you be so surprised that Barron was pulled out of the lineup instead of Harris!?!?! All I can say about that is THANK GOODNESS….about time!!!

I miss the days when players would be with the Habs for 10+ years.
None of this bullshit "trade for a first round" stuff or "tank for this guy" garbage. That's why we won so many cups back in the 60's and 70's. The players played for the pride of the city and the history of the franchise. They did NOT play for the money. They stayed with the team because they were APPRECIATED for their hard work and dedication to the Canadiens family and the fans.
You call that performance insane he block 2 shots had 1 or 2 shots on goal and was very hesitant. Not exactly insane in my book but he didn't cost us on the ice that was positive.
It all depends what the return for Xehkaj is.

They've identified AX as a corner stone piece. An individual who can be a physical LH bottom pair . Who can contribute greatly in a deep playoff run. All the habs are doing is strictly development and tuning his game. He's untouchable. Nonsense.
