  1. Was getting kinda worried there. Smith looks like a solid player, another great signing by Stevie Y.

  2. With smith signed we now have a 4th line thats probably going to be a contender caliber line for the next 5 years

  3. Great news!! I'm a big fan of Givani Smith and I really like what he brings to the team. He's going to be a important part of the bottom 6 and hopefully will be around when we turn the corner and start contending again. Can't wait for the season to get under way!!

  4. A solid, big body, tough to play against, he could be useful on multiple lines. He could be used to shutdown the opponents top line, or penalty killing, while leaving opponents bruised. It will be interesting to see how he is developed.

  5. He adds that bit of toughness that they lack! He's a good grinder and isn't afraid to do the dirty work! Keep it up STEVE you have add a plan and a direction for us die hard fans

  6. I like this signing. Smith plays with grit, which some of these prospects coming up can benefit from. Players are less likely to want to hit Raymond or any other teammate knowing Smith is on the bench. Should expect to see a more physical game play, kinda hoping to see the team play like they did at the end of the year, really hoping Smith can provide that energy he has shown. When you seen him last year in those few games, he looked like he belonged. I'm glad we were patient with his development, I don't think he will be a true first line player, but a solid player you can basically plug anywhere into a lineup, a 3rd line grind line would suite him best in my opinion.

  7. We need a leading 1-center, as Larkin is not a successful team for 1-center… Hopefully Yzerman will spend the money making an offer sheet for Elias Pettersson..

  8. Future Red Wings making some noise at the prospect tourney! Berggren, Raymond, Tyutyayev all showing out in their 1st game on NA ice. Canโ€™t wait to see Cossa too. LGRW baby love the content and appreciate all the hard work you put into it
