  1. Unlocking the powerplay was the key. I think they're going to finish #2 behind NYR. I think that it's reasonable to expect them to get knocked out in round 1 or 2. That is not dumping on them at all. This team wasn't even supposed to be in the top half of the metro, and they're two points out of the lead (right now with two games in hand, but that's not nothing!!!). It's not that the flyers are bad, in fact, this is the best team they've had for a number of years. I'm still having so much fun watching them, and it'll be a good thing for the kids to get an experience with the playoffs.

Personally I think that with some slight roster changes this what the next couple years look like in Philly:
23-24: playoffs – knocked out in 1st or 2nd round.
24-25: playoffs – knocked out in 1st or 2nd round.
25-26: playoffs – knocked out in 2nd or 3rd round.
26-27: THE PHILADELPHIA FLYERS WIN IT ALL WITH MATVEI MICHKOV!

  2. I'm to the point that I'm lost for words. Being a hockey junky, I watch and read everything that I can about the Flyers. I listen to NHL radio religiously. The majority has been waiting for us to fall off the mountain but the Flyers continue to climb and kick snow in the face of the non-believers!! There were instances in the last few years when we would play a top team like we did last night and we would get run out of the building. This is also the first year in many that I have not heard the term "starting on time". Even when the team was just mediocre, there hasn't been a coach here in years that could get them to consistently start on time. Enter Tort's <3

  3. I have been a diehard Flyer fan since 1980 and I will ask this question. What was one of the Flyers biggest weaknesses in the Last 10 to 20 years? Goaltending! Bingo you are correct. Collect 200 bucks and pass go!!!😂 You look around the league and there so many good teams suffering from mediocre to bad goaltending. Take the Devil's and the Hurricane's for example, great teams but you can't win with shoddy goaltending!! As Ed Sinder could amen if he were still with us! Ps. the Devil's and Canes especially the Cane's have vastly improve in there goaltending situations in the last 2 weeks and its reflected hugly in there play!

  4. I swear to god if we trade Ersson I’m going to cry and maybe fall into depression. He’s the most dialed in goalie I’ve seen play for us. Sickest glove in the league. So pumped

  5. 😮Great words Jason. You always break things down to clarity for us, Flyers fans. Great watching the great team win. A game very few had the Flyers winning. A reason why no Player is bigger than the Team.

  6. Yesterday’s game blew my mind! I can’t believe the beat them!! 5th straight power play goal in a game since 2016!
Jesus Died For Our Sins! Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

  7. Love the podcast I’m a daily listener on Spotify and wanted to drop a question in. Looking forward with the Flyers having two likely later 1st round picks in 24, could they get up to 7th or in position to take a high level prospect center. One person I’ve enjoyed following is Cayden Lindstrom and projects going 2-10 from what I’ve read. Plays a physical game and seems an ideal fit for the team. Let me know your thoughts.
