I would not have made the trade for Dubois unless it was Byfield going instead of villardi.
In fact I would not have traded for Dubois straight up for villardi.
Even though he is injury prone when healthy he is super strong on the puck , has a quick accurate shot , great passer and very responsible defensively.
Can you imagine villardi with kempe and Kopitar and first PP minutes.
Byfield has been put on a tough position.
He has shown some flashes of what he one day may be capable of but has been pretty much invisible the last 10 games or so.
He and grundstrom should switch spots in the lineup.
As far as the coach goes it hard to heap all of the blame on him but his line combinations are not working with the exception of the second line .
You mentioned Spence in your last podcast and I agree with the exception of some goal scoring he has played very well and has earned his spot in the lineup. Last thing why is Lewis still in the daily line up when you have fagemo doing so well in Ontario.
There is a reason why players are called role players,
They can't score.
