  1. He's going to be 34 and with the speed of the game since the last time he played i just don't see him making it. It's great that he's finally healthy again though and maybe some organization will give him a job in some capacity?

  2. He had 16 points in six games at the 2009 World Juniors.
Celebrini just had 8 points in 5 games.
However, that was 15 years ago.

  3. Lego, I know people hate speculation but the Cody Hodgson story isn't complet without the context of his trade out of Vancouver.
The story goes that his father was a meddling hockey dad and wasn't impressed with the Canucks management.
I was hoping to see Cody stay a Canuck and take over as a captain but since his diagnosis and his failing production, his trade seemed like a fair move. Vancouver traded a non-asset for a non-asset in Zach Kassian.
I wish this guy could've stayed in Vancouver and maybe rehab his condition with the right training but who knows.

  4. Hodgson sucks now buddy.. what do you even mean?? He got 8 points in 40 games in 2016 last time he played. CLICKBAIT Lame-orocks

  5. Just another casualty of the Canucks medical staff. Im glad Rutherford and Alvin came in and saved this franchise.

  6. At the time the Cody Hodgson pick was great for the Canucks. That's the problem with prospects sometimes. Just think of guys like Schremp, Wolski, Brule, Yakupov, Lafreniere…etc. Hope he can make a comeback and play professionally again, even if not in the NHL

  7. Cody I wish you all the best but when you left Vancouver it wasn't because of your poor play or your illness, it was because your father wanted you to get more ice time than you had earned by that time. It was a bitter bitter departure and I the emperor of all Canucks decree you will not be invited back.

  8. i've always wondered how cody would have done as a canuck if his helicopter parents hadn't scorched the phone lines to the coach, GM and owner over his ice time and line mates till they just wanted to end the drama.

  9. If he can legit make a return to the NHL, he'd be the clear winner of the Masterton trophy. Not a Canucks or Sabres fan, but I'll definitely cheer this dude on.

  10. Sabres fans were disappointed with the outcome of this trade. I liked the way he played though, and wish him godspeed.

  11. hope he has his health but he is probably too slow now by alot more than he used to be given that the game is even faster

  12. He sucked before, why would anyone sign him now? He does everything on the forehand, slow, doesn’t back check, can’t shoot or pass on the backhand, but sure why anyone would want him. Didn’t he have some rare illness anyways? Let me guess he’s broke now after his parents or some women spent all his money

  13. I didn't know that was why he retired. That sucks
I hope he gets a chance to get back on a pro team. He was dealt a pretty shitty hand

  14. It almost seems like one of those like Pro Sports & Fighting movies moments like being told that like you won't ever be able to play again.
Many years later, somehow a mircle happens, then they come back, and they revive their career somehow at an older age. Congratz to Hodgson, though, on his recovery!👏 🥳
Best of luck to him on trying to get back into the big league again, hopefully. 🙂

  15. Kassian was pretty well liked fo ra guy who didnt do much but fight fairly well and look real cool.
