This should prove to all Devils fans that despite a lot of our top guys getting injured, that is no excuse for us to not win games, and there is no reason to not keep Daws in the net until we get another goaltender. The handling, glove save, and attempt at the empty netter!
Also I like the new camera setup!
Nico Daws was nothing short of spectacular tonight. But, could you imagine how much easier our team could make it on our goalies if we just played a more pressure style of defense instead of just sitting back and letting teams be in our zone for 1-2 minutes a shift? And good lord, we need to start getting the puck out of the zone when we have the chance, too many 2nd and 3rd and 4th chances we give to opponents on individual shifts. I don't want to be a downer in such a good win, but that kind of playstyle just isn't going to pan out in the long run. All that said, LGD!!!!!!!!!!
We wanted to see a goalie steal a game, here it is. Outside of a few posts, Nico looked really confident out there, especially at the end of the game. This team is abandoning the finess game and just grinding it out. Nemec is a bonafide stud defenseman & Holtz keeps showing signs of why he needs to stay in NJ. Nemec, Tierney, and Holtz were the top 3 performers on the GameScore Impact Stats card tonight.
this is what happens when you have grit on your team, some luck and steady goalie perfomance. Not soft pushover players like Jack, Dougie and Meier with the latter this year looking softer than the 3 ply toilet paper.
I wasn’t able to watch the game and I’m sad that I couldn’t see the Daws show

Great tear down! Love the confidence from Daws, came into this game not feeling great, but wow what a finish! Also I thought the game started at 7 so I started watching mid 2nd period. Threw me off. Like the new view too btw

I don’t understand what makes you think there still a chance that Markstrom is going to be traded. Flames are not gong to ask him to wave his no trade clause because there is a team wants him. Good win for the devils as Panthers where a hot team.
