The two best friends are the cancer of this team. Absolutely disgraceful.
The team doesn't really have anybody that checks. Almost no physical play. Kakko is a decent defender, but we need somebody that does it on both ends of the ice. The team looks like they are heading for a one and done playoff run.
Count me among the Kakko skeptics.
But hey, sending Othmann down for him is good for a laugh…if literally NOTHING else.
I break the Kreider and Zibby line to send a message to both players. Make new lines for both Washington Capitals games this weekend and stick with it until everyone gets the message
It’s not that the Rangers are bad, it’s the fact that the Canucks are that great and played their best in years. The Canucks made them look bad. It’s called team defence and playing as a unit. This forces NY to pass it too soon or cough it up and the Canucks counter with speed which makes the opposition look really bad. Also, their forecheck and other positioning clogs up the neutral zone so the outlet pass gets picked off and turned over. Sorry about that. See ya in the Stanley Cup Finals

Not only ate the rangers bad in the minutes following a goal, they are also just as bad in the final minutes of a period. This goes back years.
The Rangers have been a team that lack discipline for a long time. The goal after a shift issue I've been calling this out for a while. To the point where you can enjoy a Rangers goal. It seems to happen every third game they do that. The Rangers are getting exposed right now by the league's top teams. Injuries have not helped but every team deals with injuries you got to figure it out.
Kakko has been the slowest of the young prospects to break open and put some points under his belt and this is disturbing.
